Daily Yoga App Review (Tomoson)

I tried out the Daily Yoga App, in exchange for honest review from Tomoson. I wanted to review the program because I never done yoga but I heard about the benefits of the program. I already had an yoga mat and yoga towel. After a 10-15 minute warm-up and mounting a tablet near the floor, I was ready to try out the Daily Yoga app.

The app is available for iOS, Android, and Windows Phones. I downloaded the free version to my phone first.

Once you download the app, you see a wide range of programs, you can view. Each of the program, such as beginner standing poses, requires another download from Google Play, The App Store, and whatever program Windows uses. This means memory. I did not have enough memory on my phone to download all the programs, I wanted. Thank you to my children for their tablets.

I downloaded the app to one of my kid's tablets and was able to download 3-4 beginners yoga programs. The app also has programs for intermediate and more advanced yoga users.

Then, you load the program you want. Each program loads a video, which shows you a instructor demonstrating each yoga pose. You just follow along. The first program, the yoga sitting poses, took about 20 minutes for me to go through. Since it is a video, you can fast forward and rewind.

The app was easy to use. Just took some type downloading what I needed.

You can try out the free app by clicking on the link above. Once the website is loaded, there are icons, which links to you the appropriate app store for your device, including a QR code, which you can scan to send the app to your phone.

A photo posted by Stacie D Wyatt (@sdwyatt1980) on

I received Aurorae's Slip Free Yoga Mat sized Towel. Great for Hot/Active Yoga. Eco Safe, Hygienic, Super Absorbent Multi-purpose Lush Micro-fiber material. Sport Size 30" x 20", Long Mat Size 72"x24", 9 New Beautiful Colors that will Match/Coordinate with our Mats. 2 Year Full Guarantee, in exchange for honest review from Tomoson. I received a blue towel.

I wanted to review the towel because my old yoga towel was not slip free, which was not good for me when I did mid to high intensity exercises.

The towel is made from a lush, terry-cloth like material, which feels wonderful to touch. I fell asleep on the yoga mat a few times. The yoga mat towel is so comfortable.

The mat did move some but not as much as my former yoga mat towel.

You can purchase the yoga mat towel in a variety of colors on Amazon. You can purchase a sport towel or a yoga towel. The towels are prime-eligible. Prices vary.

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.

The bands come in four sizes: small, medium, xl, and heavy. Each size is a different resistance. I use Small or medium when working out. I use heavy or Xl when I want a challenge. The bands also come with a carrying bag. I store mine in a zip lock bag, out the reach of my kids.

You can purchase the bands on Amazon. The bands are prime-eligible. Be careful when selecting sellers though. Look for Home Complete in the Other Sellers section.

Shandali Yoga Towel Review (Tomoson)

Disclosure: I got this product as part of an advertorial. This post contains Amazon Affiliate Links

I reviewed #1 Rated Hot Yoga Towel - Mat-Sized, Microfiber, Super Absorbent, Anti-slip, Injury Free, 26.5" x 72" - Best Microfiber Accessory for Hot Yoga - Exercise, Fitness, Pilates, and Yoga Gear; Lifetime Guarantee in exchange for honest review from Tomoson. The product was created by Shandali.

Product features:

  1. Super absorbent
  2. Light-weight
  3. Washable

My review:

I wanted to review the yoga towel because my yoga mat moves and bunches when I work out. I got tired of having to readjust the mat when I changed intensities. I bought the mat to work out with when I started Revolt Fitness.

While the product helps with my yoga mat not bunching and moving, the towel still moves, depending on the level of intensity. You do have to adjust it every so often to get comfortable again. With a low intensity workout, such as lifting weights or using the exercise ball, the towel was wonderful. When I tried quadripeds or sumo squats, the towel did move.

@2013 Stacie D. Wyatt

I also made a video a while back, which showed the product. Please note: I had just gotten my camcorder and still was learning how to use the tripod (still learning though).

The video took a few edits. I made this video, showing the distractions, I dealt with :-)

Movement Story Yoga DVDS for Kids Product Review

I reviewed the Movement Yoga DVDS for Kids through Tomoson. The DVDs were created by Move with Me. I received three DVDS, in addition to the flashcards. The flashcards teaches you some key steps featured in each dvd. There will be a video review coming this weekend.

I received The Magic Scooter, Lost and Found in Africa, and Robot Makes a new friend on the moon. Each DVD is 12.99. The DVDS come with a self-regulation exercise; a parent/teacher workbook, relaxation exercises, and a warm-up exercises.

If you want the flashcards, the website offers bundles. The whole bundle is around $350 dollars. The other two bundles are $82 and $144. I am also interested in purchasing the teaching yoga to special needs kids.

On a lighter note, my nephew told me, he is the only person allowed to do yoga.

The videos teaches kids yoga using stories. The kids will have to use their imagination. I participated in all three DVDs to see if I can do it before showing it to my kids, nieces, great niece, and nephew. The work wasn't hard, but not too easy either. Your kids will move and use their imagination. Some exercises incorporate partners, so the DVDs promote teamwork and cooperation. Finally, the DVDS teach kids about self-regulation.

Relaxation CDs By Jeff Gold Product Review

I received Escapes by Jeff Gold, in addition to Sleep Well for Kids: Relax at bedtime CD's in exchange for honest review. Jeff responded to my post on PitchRate for Autism products and supplies. I have bought relaxation cds before (the infamous Autism CD) and it irritated me more than the kids. It had two sounds I am not a fan of: Thunder and lightning. The CD calmed my kids, but caused me a headache.

About Jeff Gold: (copied from Email)

California native Jeff Gold is a composer/musician who creates imagery through music; images that are emotional and melodic, restorative and uplifting. He composes soulful relaxing instrumentals which have received the attention of Wellness Centers, Spas and Music Therapists for their tranquil and healing qualities. Combining beautifully arranged acoustic guitars, piano, strings and flutes, Jeff has released two CD's "Soul of a Mountain" in 2006, and "Escapes" in 2009. Both area soothing and relaxing collection of melodies ideal for music therapy, yoga, massage, scenic drives or just winding down.

Jeff's 14-year old special needs nephew, Russell, became a big fan of these soothing instrumentals because they help to calm his overstimulation. Russell then passed his uncle's music on to his other friends on the autistic spectrum and they found that it is helpful to them as well. Jeff is also a contributing writer and music advisor to EXPERIENCE | PREMCHIT resorts, located throughout Europe and Asia, researching and writing articles on the physical, mental and therapeutic effects that are possible with music.

Jeff composes and arranges all of his own music, playing the guitars and pianos, and creating other instrumental sounds by computer. He also does his own mixing, mastering and editing; a skill he perfected as a television editor for shows like MTV's Making the Video, Baywatch, MadTV, and The Office. Jeff has also teamed up with hypnotherapist, Janet Montgomery to produce seven guided imagery CD's for The Live Well Series. Topics include sleeping soundly, stress management, and coping with cancer treatment.

Escapes Review:

Escapes has acoustic guitars, piano, strings, and flutes. I liked Escapes because it was simply music and no vocals. It is a beautiful, instrumental CD. One of my favorites was Del Playa, the first song. I think I can hear piano and strings.

Escapes is $7 for download and $12 for the CD. The CD is a little over 60 minutes long.

Sleep Well for Kids CD
Sleep Well for Kids Review:

The Sleep Well CD is a guided relaxation CD. It is narrated by Janet Montgomery with music by Jeff Gold.

It requires participation from the children. The CD requires them to have an active imagination/visual imagery as well. The children are going on a journey. The first step is to get comfortable and snuggly. Then, take a nice deep breathe in and out. They can close eyes, relax face, relax neck, and loose shoulders.  Children have to picture trees, flowers, the butterflies. Bubbles popping. You can blow away your worries, concerns, problems.

The CD is $15 dollars. The CD is about 30 minutes long.
