Port Plugs for Android Review (Tomoson)

Disclaimer: This post contains Amazon Affiliate Links.

I received PortPlugs - Android Protector Plugs, in exchange for honest review. I wanted to review them because I don't like the dust or other debris, which goes into the ports.

The port plugs come in different sizes for the different ports such as the ear plug port and the charger port. The port plugs do require a little push to get them into the ports and a little effort to remove them. The only issue I had was sometimes the plugs fell out on their own.

You can purchase the port plugs on Amazon using the link above. The plugs come in 3 colors: black, clear, and white. You also can purchase PortPlugs for Iphone

Daily Yoga App Review (Tomoson)

I tried out the Daily Yoga App, in exchange for honest review from Tomoson. I wanted to review the program because I never done yoga but I heard about the benefits of the program. I already had an yoga mat and yoga towel. After a 10-15 minute warm-up and mounting a tablet near the floor, I was ready to try out the Daily Yoga app.

A photo posted by Stacie D Wyatt (@sdwyatt1980) on

The app is available for iOS, Android, and Windows Phones. I downloaded the free version to my phone first.

Once you download the app, you see a wide range of programs, you can view. Each of the program, such as beginner standing poses, requires another download from Google Play, The App Store, and whatever program Windows uses. This means memory. I did not have enough memory on my phone to download all the programs, I wanted. Thank you to my children for their tablets.

I downloaded the app to one of my kid's tablets and was able to download 3-4 beginners yoga programs. The app also has programs for intermediate and more advanced yoga users.

Then, you load the program you want. Each program loads a video, which shows you a instructor demonstrating each yoga pose. You just follow along. The first program, the yoga sitting poses, took about 20 minutes for me to go through. Since it is a video, you can fast forward and rewind.

The app was easy to use. Just took some type downloading what I needed.

You can try out the free app by clicking on the link above. Once the website is loaded, there are icons, which links to you the appropriate app store for your device, including a QR code, which you can scan to send the app to your phone.

Phonics and Reading with McGuffey for Android and Kindle Fire Review (Tomoson).

Disclosure: I got this product as part of an advertorial.

I received Phonics and Reading with McGuffey, in exchange for honest review from Tomoson. The app, created by Literacy Soft, is geared towards adult learners; home schoolers; dyslexic readers; and ESL students. I wanted to review the app for my son, who is Autistic and ADHD. He struggles with phonics and reading.  He learns better using technology: computers, DVDS, and his tablet.

Installation:

I received a copy of the Phonics program through an .apk file. I thought the installation would be easy but I was wrong. I have a  Kindle fire, an Android phone, and a Nabi 2 for my son. I did not have enough memory on the Kindle or phone to install the files. I tried for days removing everything I could but even with enough space on the sim card, the files would not install. Then, I remembered the Nabi. The files installed quick on my son's tablet since he doesn't have too many files on there.

Set-Up

Once I installed the file, you can set-up the user profiles. You can set up a maximum of 10 profiles.

Use

Once I got Brad's profile set-up, you can start the lessons. The app has 54 lessons. The lessons vary by level and activities. Some of the activities include flash cards, illustrations, spelling words, quizzes, and a phonics blender. The app does talk as well. I do recommend using a headset. The lessons was hard to hear at times, even with the volume up.

Brad enjoyed the lessons. I also liked the lessons when I went through the files after installation.

Devices

Itunes. Current price 19.99
Google Play Current price 9.99
PC trial version is available for immediate download on the Literacy Soft Website.

Bingo Bash Review (Blog Dash)

I reviewed Bingo Bash for a campaign on Blog Dash. I am being compensated for this post.

I never heard of Bingo Bash, prior to this campaign. I do love Bingo, at least when I win :-). I havent played Bingo in years on top of years. The last time, I played, I was on a Carnival Cruise. I played the free games, then I left when my free cards ran out. Since I never brought money or spent money on a cruise (with a credit card), I didn't want to run a debt, I could not pay back.

I started playing the game on Facebook, when I read the email from BlogDash. I never heard of Bingo Bash before, but I knew Zynga made a similar game, which I also have not played in a while. I wanted to understand the concept of the game before agreeing to write about it.

I also wanted to know if you needed to buy power-ups or make friends to advance in the game. Next, I wanted to see if the game was energy-driven. Energy-driven to me, means once your energy, or in this case, chips runs out, you can't play until your energy recharges.

In the game, you need red chips. Players receive X amount (depends on level) each day to play. Once your chips run out, you have to wait until the chips reset to play again. You also can earn or buy chips.

The game also allows players to complete collections to earn chips. You earn items for collections during the game.

Starting the game:

The game starts out with a tutorial, the moves into the real games. In the real games, you choose how many cards you want to play (maximum 4 cards), then wait for the game to start. Each card is worth a X amount of red chips. The beginning rooms use fewer chips, such as the Sphinx Wonder Room (1 chip per card). As you move up in levels, you will need more chips to play a game. The featured rooms also vary in amount of chips to purchase a card.

Once the game starts, the game starts calling out numbers. The player daubs (selects) the number on the cards, if there is a match. The game also has a window, to the right, which shows all numbers previously called. When you have BINGO, you click the BINGO button at the bottom of the card(s). One round, I completely forgot to mark Bingo because I thought it would do it automatically. Lesson learned.

You can win multiple bingos per round.

Each game as a maximum amount of Bingos to win. As people win, the amount goes down. The game also shows winners on the left-hand side. The game also dings (makes a sound) when a BINGO is called.

Once the game reaches MAX Bingos, the round is over. You can buy more cards, if you have enough chips, and play when the round starts.

Bingo Rooms:

The game features Bingo Rooms. Each room has a different theme. Each game also has a different price to buy cards.  Each room also has different amount of maximum bingos. For example , two of the Wonder rooms are called Palm Island and the Sphinx. The game also has featured rooms such as Lucky and Elemental.

Tournaments:

You can earn gems, playing Bingo, then use the gems to buy tournament chips. Tournament chips are blue chips. You can buy a maximum of 4 cards in tournaments.

Power-ups.

You also can use power-ups to help the game. Some power-ups give you extra chips to play more rounds. Some help you win an automatic bingo, if a certain number is called.

FAQS:

FAQS are provided. The FAQs explains the games and power-ups.

Bingo Bash is available on Facebook, Kindle, Android, and iPhone/iPad.

Hot or Not App Review and Giveaway

Hot or Not

Hot or Not is the mobile and facebook application for Badoo.com, a dating site. I have been using the android and website app for a minute. The app allows you to send messages to interested parties on your iPhone or on Facebook. Next, you can add and rank photos.

If you are interested in someone, you can rank them based on looks with a heart or X. You also can skip if you click on the next pic in the queue. You also can expand the profile (the little I in the circle) and rank based on interests.

The profile contains valuable information:

· Language(s) spoke

· If they have kids, want more kids, or not sure, if they want kids.

· Gender and age range of who they want to date

· Interests

· Relationship status

· Pictures

· Age

· Last time online

· Location

· Mutual Facebook Friends

· Sexual orientation

· Description of appearance

· Smokers and drinkers

· Education

· Work/Profession

· Living situation

For example, I give X’s to men, who want more kids or not sure if they want more kids. I also give X’s to men, who are in a relationship. On the other hand, I love me a bald-headed, chocolate man, whether white chocolate, dark chocolate, or brown chocolate.

Second, you can create and edit your profile, in addition to creating a search.

Matches

Hot or Not has a match feature built-in. If you like someone and they have liked you back, you get a match notification, saying “you found a connection”. At this point, you can keep ranking prospects or you can send your new connection a message.

Giveaway

Enter to win $1000 from Apptism. Winners will be announced on February 15, 2014.

NutriCrystal Wireless Reflex Smart Food Scale Product Review (Tomoson)

I reviewed NutriCrystal Wireless Smart Food Scale, for honest review through Tomoson. the product was developed by Reflex Wireless. The Scale works with iOS and Android to help figure out daily nutrients. The scale also helps with portion control. I downloaded the software to my Mac. You also charge the scale using your  PC or batteries (4 AAA batteries)

The first step is hooking up the scale to the PC to charge. Then, you find the software, either in the Google Play Store or iTunes. You have to also sync the software with the scale.

Once the sync is complete, you place your food upon the scale. Zero out the scale by pressing the power/tare button first, The weight goes to the software. The software also pulls up nutritional information for the food(s).

There is also a desktop app available. The website provides a list of apps for iOS, Android, and Desktop (Windows). I do wish there was a standalone app for the Mac.

I downloaded the NutriPlus NFT and the Lite App to both the iPod and the Android to be on the safe side. It came in handy after the iPod hit the toilet, thanks to my youngest. I have about $50 saved up for a new one.

You also can manually record your foods.

The scale comes in 6 colors: white, blue, red, purple, pink, and green. The scale is 69.95 on the Reflex Wireless Store
