Phonics and Reading with McGuffey for Android and Kindle Fire Review (Tomoson).

Disclosure: I got this product as part of an advertorial.

I received Phonics and Reading with McGuffey, in exchange for honest review from Tomoson. The app, created by Literacy Soft, is geared towards adult learners; home schoolers; dyslexic readers; and ESL students. I wanted to review the app for my son, who is Autistic and ADHD. He struggles with phonics and reading.  He learns better using technology: computers, DVDS, and his tablet.

Installation:

I received a copy of the Phonics program through an .apk file. I thought the installation would be easy but I was wrong. I have a  Kindle fire, an Android phone, and a Nabi 2 for my son. I did not have enough memory on the Kindle or phone to install the files. I tried for days removing everything I could but even with enough space on the sim card, the files would not install. Then, I remembered the Nabi. The files installed quick on my son's tablet since he doesn't have too many files on there.

Set-Up

Once I installed the file, you can set-up the user profiles. You can set up a maximum of 10 profiles.

Use

Once I got Brad's profile set-up, you can start the lessons. The app has 54 lessons. The lessons vary by level and activities. Some of the activities include flash cards, illustrations, spelling words, quizzes, and a phonics blender. The app does talk as well. I do recommend using a headset. The lessons was hard to hear at times, even with the volume up.

Brad enjoyed the lessons. I also liked the lessons when I went through the files after installation.

The site also offers a bamboo vinegar bar and a green tea bar for the same price. You also can buy the soaps in bigger packs.

American Crew 3 in 1 Product Review (Tomoson)

Disclosure: I got this product as part of an advertorial.

I reviewed American Crew 3 in 1 Body Wash, in exchange for honest review from Tomoson. I wanted to review the product for my son. Brad is 13 years old. He has autism and adhd. He also is experiencing puberty and he stinks. I been looking for him the perfect body wash. Something, which is not too strong and not too floral or feminine either. I have tried male body washes and deodorants before and many of them are too strong for my tastes. Since I have to purchase it, I don't want to kill my smell receptors in the process lol. Currently, for body wash, he uses my soaps. I gave up on other male body washes because of the smell. For deodorant and body sprays, he uses Axe (hate the smell) and old spice (found one scent I liked).

I liked the smell of the American Crew. The scent is light. Not too strong to kill the planet but not light enough to not effectively work for him.

The Essential Gluten-Free Grocery Guide Book Review (Tomoson)

Disclosure: I got this product as part of an advertorial. This post contains Amazon Affiliate Links.

I received Essential Gluten-Free Grocery Guide, in exchange for honest review from Tomoson. I wanted to review the book because my nephew is allergic to gluten. Toss in being a vegetarian, not to mention, he a picky eater. He doesn't eat meat, doesn't eat meat, and particular about certain chemicals and dyes. He does not eat jello because it contains red # blah blah blah.

it is hard feeding that child when he comes to visit.

The book is organized by food category and by store. There is also a helpful symbol summary at the beginning of the book.

I may give the guide to my sister for her reference or keep it here for my mother's reference, since she buys most of his foods.

Montague Jeunesse Review (Tomoson)

Disclosure: I got this product as part of an advertorial.

I received 5 masks from Montague Jeunesse in exchange for honest review from Tomoson. The masks came in two types: peel-off and creamy. Each mask also helped resolve a different skin issue.

Face Mask Collection

The smoothie aux fruits helps deep pore cleaning. The smoothie smells delicious. Great fruit-based scent. The smoothie is a cream-based mask.

The white chocolate is an ultra-deep cleaning creamy mask. The chocolate smells wonderful too.

The clean-up mud helps minimize blemishes.

Passion fruit helps deep clean too.

The green tea peel off also helps deep clean pores.

Green Tea Peel off Mask Dried

I loved the scents of the masks. The masks also did not irritate my skin. I do prefer the cream over the peel-off. I also love the other facial products Montague Jeunesse offers. For example, they have masks, which unfold and you place over your face.

The Inside Out Grilled Cheese Changes Everything

Grilled cheeses are an important part of our lives. They're there when it's cold . There when we had a bad day. They're even there when we have a bowl of tomato soup . Whaley's Big Adventure by Carole P. Roman Book Review (Tomoson).

Disclosure: I got this product as part of an advertorial. This post contains Amazon Affiliate Links.

I read Whaley's Big Adventure: Presented by Carole P. Roman, in exchange for honest review from Tomoson. The book is a quick read, which teaches children about whales.

I have read the book multiple times to the toddlers (son and great niece) and they get a giggle at looking at the whales. They love the whales more than the words.

The book teaches children about the different types of whales and what makes each unique. Children will learn about Humpbacks, Orcas, Beluga, Gray, Sperm, and the Whale shark. Not to mention, Whaley is a blue whale. In the book, Whaley goes on an adventure meeting new friends along the way.

I read If you were me and lived in... Australia: A Child's Introduction to Cultures around the World (Volume 8). The book was written by Carole P. Roman. The book is a children's book.

The book is a quick, informative, guide about Australia. Kids can learn about a different culture using the book. For example, I learned about vegemite, vegetable sandwich bread. The language is easy to understand. The graphics are colorful and beautiful.

At the back of the book, there is a pronunciation guide, which provides a definition of Australian jargon. For example, barbie means barbecue.

The book is available in Paperback and Kindle format.
