Ozeri Artesio Electric Pepper Mill and Grinder Product Review (Moderna Housewares)

Disclaimer: This post contains Amazon Affiliate Links

I reviewed the Artesio Soft Touch Electric Pepper Mill and Grinder, by Ozeri, in exchange for honest review from Moderna Housewares. I had previously reviewed the Ozeri Duo Mill Grinder. The Duo was manual-powered, while the Artesio is battery-powered.

The Artesio is powered with 4 AA batteries. The Artesio also grinds salt and pepper. The only thing I did not like about the Artesio was there is no cover on the bottom. You will need to grind onto vessel (hand, bowl, pot, pan, plate, etc) to catch/contain the salt or pepper.

Assembly was also a little tricky since my 3 year old opened the box, tore up the directions and took it apart before I even got a chance to look over everything. I figured everything out quickly. Check out the video for more details, including me misaligning the components and spilling salt over my floor. Then, a battery fell out in the process lol.

Adovia Mineral Skin Care Purifying Mud Mask Product Review (Tomoson)

Disclosure: I got this product as part of an advertorial. This post contains Amazon Affiliate Links.

I reviewed Dead Sea Mud Facial Mask - Purifying Natural Facial Mask and Skin Care Treatment for Women, Men and Teens - Face Mask for Acne Treatment, Reduce Blackheads & Pimples, Exfoliator and Deep Facial Cleanser. Works for Eczema, Psoriasis, Acne and Leaves Skin Radiant, Younger Looking & Smooth. in exchange for honest review from Tomoson.

I wanted to review the product because I loved the name. Dead Sea Mud Mask with Aloe Vera and Vitamin C. The mud is a dark greyish color. You clean your face first, then apply the mud, wait 20 minutes, rinse off, follow up with toner or moisturizer.

The product did irritate my face when first applied, but the sting goes away. The mask does leave your skin feeling clean and refreshed.

Oven Art Silicon Pan Review (Tomoson)

Disclosure: I got this product as part of an advertorial.

I reveiwed OvenArt Silicone Bakeware - Muffin Pan / Cupcake Pan - 12 Cup Muffin Tin - 100% BPA-Free - Nonstick, Easy to Clean Muffin Tray in exchange for honest review from Tomoson. I wanted to review the muffin pan because I never used silicon pans before. I have heard great things about silicon bakeware before though.

I was a little skeptical at first, but after the first batch of muffins, I was impressed. The pans are easy to use. Simply spray with non stick spray or whatever you like to use--maybe olive oil or flour and butter.
Place the silicon pans on a baking or cookie sheet. Then fill with batter, whether cupcakes, muffins, or even eggs.

Place in the oven and cook. Take out the oven, let cool, remove your cooking creation goodness from the pan. The pans are also easy to clean.

I have made muffins, cupcakes, and eggs in the pans. I made some peanut butter, oat meal muffins, with a peanut butter, chocolate chip frosting. Then, I made chocolate chip muffins, using chocolate chips and bisquick. Finally, I made eggs with spinach, tomatoes, and panko.

I definitely will continue to buy the pans as needed in the future. Maybe 2-3 more.

Disclaimer: This post contains Amazon Affiliate Links.

I read His Eye is on the Sparrow by Lisa Y. Sparrow in exchange for honest review from Write Now Literary Virtual Book Tours.

About the Book (From Media Kit)

Lisa Sparrow has never felt loved or wanted. Born into a family that she never quite fit into, her childhood was spent alternating between the foster care system and various mental health institutions. How could the very people charged to protect her make her feel so worthless?

From the agony of multiple miscarriages to the pain of never feeling love from anyone, Lisa Y.
Sparrow reveals the most intimate of details of her life in the hopes that someone is freed from their own prison of mental illness.

About the Author (From Media Kit)

Newcomer Lisa Sparrow has endured more pain and loss in her life than anyone should be expected to. With her first book, His Eye Is On The Sparrow, she reveals the challenges she has faced in stunning detail. Lisa has learned the hard way that if you stay where you are in life, you’ll never reach your full potential. Her journey to self love and acceptance has been a hard fought battle and one she is led by God to share with her readers.

Lisa is a divorced mother of two wonderful children, Lauren and Leon, and currently lives in Columbus, Ohio. She currently works as clerical support for a local lighting company. With His Eye Is On The Sparrow, Lisa hopes to shed some light on the subject of mental illness in this country and the process of Although this is Lisa’s first project, it certainly will not be her last. She is currently working on her second book, scheduled to be released in 2014.

My Review

I wanted to review the book, based on the description. The author and I have been through similar challenges (miscarriages.). She also discussed mental illness, which explains my kids, plus a few others, running through the family. Sparrow loved to read and felt like she was different from everyone else, similar to myself.

In the book, Sparrow starts discussing her childhood. Sparrow had a mother, who did not want her. Mama took Sparrow to multiple therapists. She felt unwanted by relatives and distanced herself from family as she got older.

Sparrow also discussed suicide. She had thoughts of suicide at an early age. Lisa also battled depression.

Some parts of the book was hard to read. Like when kids threw their coats on top of Lisa or when her friend died.

The book was an interesting read. The book is available in Kindle and paperback format on Amazon. The book is also prime eligible.

Mini Basketballs with Needle and Inflation Pump Review BryBelly Review

Disclaimer: This Post Contains Amazon Affiliate Images and Links.

I received Crown Sporting Goods Mini Basketball with Needle and Inflation Pump (Set of 3), 5-Inch, in exchange for honest review from Brybelly. I wanted to review the balls for my youngest, who needs to learn how to roll and throw a ball.

Currently, if you roll or throw a ball to Kalen, he picks the ball up and brings it back to you lol. The balls are small enough for a toddler to handle. The basketballs also came with an inflation pump and needle. The balls was quick to inflate and not to heavy to play with. Perfect to play with my son and great niece with.

The set is sold in Amazon and it is prime-eligible.

The Preacher by David J. Rollins Book Review (My Addiction is Reading)

This post contains Amazon Affiliate links.

I read The Preacher (Angry Edenites) by David J. Rollins, in exchange for honest review from My Addiction is Reading.

I wanted to review the book based on the description, which was hilarious in my opinion.

About the book:

A new preacher comes to a small church in Wonderville. Requiem has a very large adam's apple, which distracts people in church. The church members try to kill him with pies and other methods, but fail. The church ends up hiring a killer deacon to off the pastor.

Requiem obtains help from The Broken Throated Advocators, who fight against persecution of men with large adam's apples.

The Preacher is the first novella in the Angry Edenites Series, which is about four people, who go looking for the Garden of Eden

My Review:

As previously stated, the book is hilarious. The book started out with a women's group discussing over tea, how previous attempts to kill the pastor had gone astray.

“But how? We’ve already tried booby-trapping his office. I myself cooked him one of my special pies. I used bleach. There was a sale on it. And he took a bite. Dangit was there. He saw him. And it did nothing.”

David J. Rollins (2013-10-15 00:00:00-04:00). The Preacher (Kindle Locations 146-148). Quill Kill Publishing. Kindle Edition. "

Requiem is not welcomed in Wonderville and his church members are finding interesting ways to drive him 6 feet under. The church has Dangit, a killer deacon to off the pastor. Will it work? Read the book to find out more.

The book is available in paperback and Kindle format. The book is also prime-eligible.

Frequently Asked Questions

I chose the reusable because I already had used the disposable. For the reusable soft cups, you simply wash between bathroom stops, reinsert, and dispose at the end of your cycle. Retrieval does get messy, depending on your flow. I recommend placing a piece of tissue paper or towel near the sink, and keep water running nearby. You can remove, place on towel, clean yourself up, wash the cup, and reinsert.

For the disposable soft cups, you simply dispose after the cup is filled. You can also order a sample pack for $2.50 online.

Instead Softcups 12 Hour Feminine Protection,14 Count (Amazon Disposable Cups, sold in 1, 2, or 3 packs. Add-on only OR Subscribe and Save. Not prime eligible)

Evofem Reuseable Softcup for Up To 1 Cycle, 2 Count (Amazon reuseable Softcups, 2 counts. Add-on only OR Subscribe and save. Not prime-eligible.)

Benefits of SoftCups:

  • The softcups can be worn for up to 12 hours.
  • The cups can be worn during sex
  • The cups can be worn overnight
  • No menstrual odor while wearing the cups.
  • The products does not cause irritation or dryness.
  • The products does not inhibit physical activity.
  • For every softcup bought, the company donates one to a girl in need

How to use Softcups.

My Review:

I enjoyed using the softcups again. Because of my cycle, I was able to wear the cups for 5 hours maximum. For additional protection, I wear a pad or panty liner still. The cups are easy to insert and easy to remove. I washed the cups between changes using a light soap and water. A feminine soap would work as well.

The only issue I had was the cups had developed an odor. Do not smell the cup after washing it after day 5 or 6 goes by. My last two cycles lasted 7 to 10 days. I would recommend not wearing the cups this long, but opt for using two cups.

Mom Seeks God Book Review and Tour (Litfuse)

Disclaimer: This post contains Amazon Affiliate Links.

I read Mom Seeks God: Practicing Grace in the Chaos, in exchange for honest review from Litfuse. I received a pdf version. The book starts out with Roller discussing her son Ben from birh.

The book is available in Kindle and Paperback format.

My Review

I wanted to review the book because I am a mom, who seeks God. Raising children is  hard work. Raising special needs kids is no picnic. I am constantly asking God for guidance, patience, and understanding. I still have to find time to do homework, clean, and have a few peaceful, quiet, moments to myself. I also need God during moments of chaos such as when Brad acts up at school or when Kalen has a breath holding spell.

Mom Seeks God is a good book to read. Roller discusses the ups and downs of mother hood and how she truly needs God all the time. She talks about not being in control at times of her schedule because the kids can alter plans. You want to do homework and the baby wakes up. You want to clean, but the teenager has a meltdown. Roller also discusses how she found ways to cultivate a relationship with God.

Mom Seeks God by Julia Roller offers a highly relatable story and useful advice to help new moms grow in their faith as they address life changes with grace, patience, and prayer.
