Funerica's Pretend Play Table and Sliceable Food Review (Tomoson)

Disclaimer: This post contains Amazon Affiliate Links.

I received Funerica's Pretend Play Table and  Slicable Food in exchange for honest review from Tomoson. The table comes with the table, legs, a fake knife, tongs, two plates, and "sliceable food" (velcro on each half). The table can fold into a suitcase/holding case for the food and accessories.

Food choices included tomatoes, lemons,  pears, oranges, eggplant, and bell pepper.

I got this toy for Kalen. He can sit down, play, and give me some peace and quiet for a few minutes. For those, who don't know, my kids are special needs Kalen is Autistic, ADHD, plus he has 6 other diagnoses. I love simple toys, which don't require much assembly or help from mama. I love independent play (so I can clean and cook in peace).

The legs were easy to install and remove when playtime was over. The table only lasted a few days. It was destroyed during one of my oldest's meltdowns but Kalen still enjoys slicing the veggies. I may get him another set once I get paid again since it is reasonably priced on Amazon.

You can purchase the veggies using the link above. The veggies are prime-eligible.

The best advice a tubby turtle can get Book Review (Tomoson)

This post contains Amazon Affiliate links and Images

I read The Best Advice a Tubby Turtle Can Get:, in exchange for honest review from Tomoson. The book was written by Ayala Raz.

The book is about Toby the turtle, who is too fat from eating snacks and sweets all day long. His mother called in all sorts of interesting experts to help Toby fit into his shell better. The best advice came from an older turtle. With the older turtle's advice, Toby learns to fit into his shell.

After the story ends, there are some creative ways to get kids to eat healthy foods, such as the tangerine lion or the pear chicken.

You can purchase the book on Amazon in Kindle format only, using the link above.

About Copy Kids

I reviewed Copy Kids, in response to a campaign on Tomoson. Copy Kids is a DVD, which encourages kids to eat their fruits and vegetables.

Instead of providing a cartoon or a lecture format, the DVD presented kids trying out and playing with12 different fruits and veggies:

  1. Bell Pepper
  2. Carrots
  3. Raspberries
  4. Broccoli
  5. Bananas
  6. Strawberries
  7. Tomatoes
  8. Cucumber
  9. Oranges
  10. Avocado
  11. Apples
  12. Blueberries.
Each fruit or veggie has their own chapter on the video. Each chapter is 6 to 8 minutes long. You can watch the kids reactions to trying out new foods.

My Review:

I loved the video. I watched it with the kids. My oldest went back to watching tv shortly after. My two-year old was giggling at the babies. The video reminded me of when Kalen was starting new foods. We tried a different food every few days. Some he liked. Some he did not like.

I also loved how the video focused on the kids and food. It has no narration. Just kids being kids, eating and playing with nutritious food. Messy faces, Stained Clothes, and all. The video was also funny. One of the funniest clips was Mattea eating an avocado. She was eating and smacking away. Such a cutie

Finally, the video includes extras. One of the extras is Dr. Jay Gordon discussing nutrition. The other extra is the video outtakes.

The video is 19.95 on the Copy Kids website.
