I have been a Boost Mobile customer since 2006. I started out with the prepaid phones, where you had to pay for each text, each call, and each annoying photo, which arrived. I sometimes paid $1 a day to use the walkie talkie feature. I also had their former monthly plan for $80 for unlimited everything. I am so glad they changed the plan. I just got my first android boost a few years ago and have been happy since. I get apps. I have unlimited text. There is shrinkage, which means your phone bill will reduce every few months for paying on time. If you miss a payment, shrinkage starts over and your phone reverts to the original price. Once your phone reaches maximum shrinkage, it stays that price until you miss a payment.  I can take photos. I can send and receive calls without telling folks to wait until after 9 or the weekend to call me for free. Boost just came out with a wireless hotspot, I may get soon for those times, the house internet is down for whatever reason.

I received the Kobert Waterproof Case, in exchange for honest review from Tomoson. I wanted to review the case, after losing two phones and an iPod to the toilet last year, thanks to Kalen. I called Boost Mobile after the first one fell, ordered a new replacement, despite how much money spent for insurance, over two years. The new phone arrived in the mail and then he dropped the second one in the toilet, less than two weeks later.

I had to buy a waterproof phone (Kyocera Hydro), just in case something happens again. Luckily, Boost Mobile had came out with 2 waterproof phones around the same time, my Innuendos hit the toilet.

Now, I want a new phone, either the Kyocera Hydro Edge or the Kyocera Hydro Icon, both are waterproof. On the other hand, after last year's Bahamas trip, I may want a phone with a hot spot, just in case my wireless internet adapter has a low signal. Those hotspot phones by Boost Mobile are not waterproof.

Maybe, I want to go back to a waterpark next year, without worrying about my phone getting wet.

Kobert has developed a waterproof case to help alleviate these issues. The phone case also comes with a carrying strap and a stylus.

Opening the Case

First things first, you have to learn how to open the case. I struggled with opening the case and had to google other bloggers, who created a video review. The open-close diagram on the tabs, makes it appear to have you slide the tabs open. WRONG. You have to put your fingernail behind each tab and pull the tab up first, and then pushing to the other side.

Once the case is open, place a piece of tissue or similar material inside and let the case submerge for 5 minutes or more to make sure there is no damage to the case. I took the submersion test and had no issues.

Other than opening the tabs, I had no issues with the case.

Today has been a rough day mentally and physically. Saturday Night, Kalen dropped my phone in the toilet. It happened quick. One minute I was sending photos from my phone to email, and the next, my niece telling me she saw my phone in the toilet and she fished it out. I cracked phones before, but never had a water logged one. Immediately put the phone in rice. The rice was already in a bowl because my great niece dropped my niece's phone in the toilet a few days before. My niece had to get a new phone.

I could not access my camera, my photos, my texts. The number and letter system was messed up. I typed in 1, i got 1234. Couldnt get my contacts, but could log on the internet. I stayed up all night because my alarm on my phone, so I would not miss church. Got dressed. and then realized, my church does confirmation calls for transportation before showing up. Tried to turn on the phone. it came on, but my carousel was down and my contact list would not show up (since it is a part of the carousel. Insight: use brad's phone to check my voicemail to see if the deacons left a message. nothing.  went up stairs and back to bed. slept until 3 pm. I was tired. got up and cooked some eggplant and salad. did some cleaning. now working on a book review. im so behind right now.

I finally turned on the phone this evening. My contact list was back temporarily. I wrote on a piece of paper all my contact names and numbers. Wrote down my appointments.  I also checked the photos and videos, it was working again. quickly, i turned the phone off, put my sd card back in my phone, and copied all the photos and videos to the sd card. some may be duplicates, but i was not willing to lose two years of memories.

I did go on Boost Mobile last nite, after remembering I have phone insurance. I filed a claim and my new innuendo will be here in a few days. Had to pay a $25 dollar deductible. Glad I had money on my card .Maybe they will send an android by mistake :-)
