The Grill Junkie Burger Cookbook Review (Tomoson)

Disclaimer: This post contains Amazon Affiliate Links and Images

I read The Grill Junkie Burger a Day Cookbook: What Fires You Up?, in exchange for honest review. The book contains 365 recipes. A burger for each day of the year with one repeating during leap year. The book was written by Arnie Tomaino.

The book starts out with tips for grilling burgers, such as tools and proper temperatures. Then, the author goes into the recipes. The burgers are organized by meat, such as beef, bison, seafood, lamb, pork, and chicken. My family loves to grill every now and then. I prefer chicken, while the others want beef or pork. I also never thought about a seafood burger, other than fish. The book provided great ideas for the chicken and seafood. The book also provides veggie burger recipes and a section on sides, fries, and sauces.

I liked the salmon burgers, including the one with honey, but without the horseradish. I also liked the tuna steak burgers with a green tomato salsa. I also liked the lobster burger with avocado mayo.

For the chicken, I liked the chicken taco avocado burger. You season the chicken with a taco seasoning. And I love avocado. Next, I liked the chili'ed cheese chicken burger. The recipe uses chili sauce and ground chicken. You mix all the ingredients together and form patties, similar to a hamburger. This is a good recipe because I never really worked with ground chicken. I usually buy chicken breasts or tenders.

You can purchase the book on Amazon, using the link above. The book is available in Kindle format only.

Vegetarian Quick and Easy Under 15 Minutes by Jonathan Vine Book Review (Tomoson)

Disclaimer: This post contains Amazon Affiliate Links.

I read Vegetarian Quick & Easy - Under 15 Minutes: (100 Simple Natural Foods Recipes) (Weight Maintenance & Low Fat Lifestyle) (Special Diet Cookbooks & Vegetarian Recipes Collection Book 2), in exchange for honest review from Tomoson. The book was written by Jonathan Vine and Tali Carmi.

I wanted to review the book because my nephew is a picky vegetarian, with an allergy to gluten. He also does not consume foods with certain dyes and chemicals. He doesn't eat meat or wheat. He also loves dairy such as eggs and ice cream.  Cooking for him is hard but the family still tries to cook him healthy food. I prefer quick food, so I can get out the kitchen. Oatmeals, cheese roll-ups, beans and rice.

First, the book discusses the different type of vegetarians. For example, total vegetarians are vegans (such as my sister). My nephew is an example of an Lacto-ovo-vegetarian. He doesn't eat meat, but will consume some animal by products, such as cheese and eggs.

The book also discusses the benefits of being a vegetarian. Then we head to my favorite section, which discusses quick meals for busy moms. Some of the recipes, I loved included the:

  1. Avocado Scramble. Avocado and Eggs.
  2. Vanilla French Toast
  3. Cheesy Mushrooms
  4. Ricotta Cheese Fritters
  5. Greek Salad
  6. Potato Pancakes
The book also has quick, romantic meals, such as nutella french toast, caprese salad, nutella trifle,  or the spinach and strawberry balsamic salad. mmm mmm good.

I also loved the cheese-filled croissants, the caramel pears, and the warm peanut butter banana sandwich. Think grilled cheese, but without the cheese.

The book also has pictures scattered throughout.

The book is available on Kindle and paperback. The paperback is Prime Eligible. The kindle book is free for today. Go download it. Add it to your devices.

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
