I wish I were a monkey by Dan Jackson Book Review (Tomoson)

Disclaimer: This post contains Amazon Affiliate Links and Images.

I read I Wish I Were a MONKEY , in exchange for honest review. I never received the book and bought the book from Amazon on a free day to complete the review. The book was written by Dan Jackson.

The book presents facts about monkeys. The first thing, which stood out was chimps, gorillas, and orangutans are not monkeys. but apes. The book  discusses species (over 200) and habitats, foods eaten, and habitats. The books also discuss how monkeys handle threats and predators.

I feel the book is geared for intermediate readers, instead of beginners, since the book presents more facts than pictures. The book also uses bigger words. I also like the real life photographs throughout the book.

You can purchase the book on Amazon, using the link above.

The book starts out discussing elephants. The book discusses the sounds the animals make and why they roar. For example, elephants roar to intimidate other animals and tigers roar to defend their territory. The book also discusses animals, who do not roar, such as a particular type of bear and most monkeys.

I am Dreaming about..dog's dreams by Dan Jackson review (Tomoson)

Disclaimer: This post contains Amazon Affiliate Links.

I received Children books : " I am Dreaming About.. " : (Teaches your kid to explore dog's dreams) (Values eBook) Action & Adventure, Sleep (Animals): Dogs (Dogs and Animals), in exchange for honest review from Tomoson. The book was written by Dan Jackson.

The book is supposed to be a beginner reader book, about a doggie named Max, but the version, I got was confusing to read. The book has a line to read to the kids and I guess information for the parents about dreams and dogs. The facts could have been placed at the back of the book versus intermingled with the story.

So Max dreams about various things, such as traveling around the world and parents can learn facts about dreaming. The book is a quick read. It is not the typical Dan Jackson children's book, I have read before.

You also have free coloring pages at the back of the book for printing. The book also encourages children to share their dreams with their parents. Other than that, I don't think the book is age-appropriate. My 3 year old isn't interested in hearing the facts, he just wants some basic words and the pictures.

You can purchase the book on Amazon using the link above.

Amazing Facts about Sharks Review (Tomoson)

This post contains Amazon Affiliate Links and Images.

I read Childrens Book : Amazing Facts about SHARKS (Great Knowledge Book for KIDS) (Ages 4 - 12) in exchange for honest review from Tomoson.

The book is an educational children's book, which discusses sharks from prehistoric days to the modern times. The book discusses species, eating habits, activities, and body structure, with illustrations.

Something interesting, I learned is that sharks see in color. Sharks also see in clear and murky water.

The book was a decent read. Some of the words was too difficult for my kids, such as nictitating (blinking. thank you Google). He also gives the orders of the shark, such as lamniformes and this word ovoviviparous. Lucky, Kindle gave the definitions as I read the book too. I would recommend the book to older kids

The book is available in Kindle format only .
