I read Cookbook: 101 Healthy Vegan Asian Food (Quick & Easy vegan recipes Book 5), in exchange for honest review. The book was written by Jonathan Vine.
I thought of this book for my nephew, who is a veggie, and my sister, who is vegan. Cooking food for the nephew is hard since he also doesn't eat certain dyes, plus he picky as heck. He likes veggies, but doesn't like a salad, for example.
First, the author provided a list of most common Asian spices. Then, he moves into recipes.
Some of the appetizers, I liked includes:
- Scallion Pancakes (without the sriracha)
- Salad on crispy wontons
- Cabbage rolls
- Wonton wrappers
- Spring rolls
- Sweet Potato pot stickers
Chapter 2 focuses on soups. Some of the soups, I liked include:
- Pumpkin soup with caramelized peanuts
- Korean pumpkin creamy soup
Chapter 3 focuses on main dishes. Some of the dishes, I liked include:
- Peanut Noodles
- Sticky Rice
- Mango Sticky Rice
- Stir fried veggies
- Stir fried straw veggies
- Stuffed tomatoes
Chapter 4 focuses on desserts. Some of the desserts, I liked include:
- Banana Fritters
- Syrup Pineapple
- Matcha Ice Cream
- Sweet potato rolls
- Grilled pineapple
- Banana fritters with caramel sauce
