JZBrain Laminator with Trimmer Review (Tomoson)

Disclaimer: This post contains Amazon Affiliate Links.

I received JZBrain's Laminator with Trimmer, in exchange for honest review from Tomoson. The laminator came with a trimmer to cut your sheets down to size. The max width for laminating sheets is 13 inches.

I used the laminator to make a new batch of medical identification cards for the kids to put in their backpacks. With all their issues, especially Kalen, medical id cards are needed. All of Kalen's 10 diagnoses wont fit on a traditional medical id bracelet.

The laminator warmed up quick and laminated with no issues. It comes with hot and cold warming. It also has an ABS setting. It may nor may not come with a corner rounder, according to the Amazon page. I did not receive one in my package.

The trimmer broke after the first use. It slipped out my hand and cracked on the floor. It was able to cut well with no issues.

You can purchase the laminator on Amazon, using the link above. The laminator is prime-eligible.

Ice Roller Review (Tomoson)

Disclaimer: This post contains Amazon Affiliate Links.

I received a Maange Ice Roller, in exchange for honest review from Tomoson. The roller helps relieve stress, reduce puffiness, and helps with migraines. The roller also helps minimize wrinkles and fatigue (I am tired all the time). The roller has a white handle. The actual roller is made from stainless steel.

I have used the roller on my face and neck for stress and migraines. I have also used it on my legs on a bruise to minimize redness, swelling, and pain.

To use, you place the roller in the freezer until cold (about 15 minutes). I recommend not using the roller immediately after pulling it out the freezer. The roller had an initial shock, I was not prepared for. I let it warm up for a few minutes before use.

You can purchase the roller, using the link above. The roller is prime-eligible.

JZBRAIN Laminator Review (Tomoson)

Disclaimer: This post contains Amazon Affiliate Links.

I received JZBrain's Laminator, in exchange for honest review from Tomoson. I bought laminating paper from Amazon also, after the laminator arrived.

My inital idea for the laminator was to create makeshift medical cards for the kids, especially Kalen. All of his diagnoses will not fit on a bracelet or necklace. He has 10 diagnoses, plus the pacemaker and heart monitor. He also can't use MRIs anymore.

I wrote all of his information (diagnoses, medications, and surgeries) on a photo card with a permanent marker. I did the same with Brad and myself.  I included my contact information, in addition to my mothers, if I could not be reached.

I added a hole with a hole punch and attached a key ring. I attached the keyring to Kalen's zipper on his backpack.

The laminator worked well. It has a hot and a cold mode. The hot mode takes a few minutes to warm up. The hot mode does emit a strong odor, when warming up. I had no issues with the laminator. Worked fine.

It happened again. Something, I didn't expect to happen again. It may become a pattern, maybe not. People have asked Brad not to come to certain places. It's not a shocker. My kids can't go to certain places, such as the zoo; parks without gates; movie theatres, but I haven't had people indirectly say, if Brad is coming or not.

A few weeks ago, Brad and Kalen had a doctor appointment for genetics. Brad's psychiatrist had requested some lab work, a few months prior, so Brad had to do his labs too. We arrived at the hospital early. I stopped by the lab first, to warn them of their favorite patient. The elevators was also running slow--15 to 20 minute wait between floor.

We head upstairs to genetics. Survive this appointment with Kalen throwing things around and jumping on the scale. Brad also started screaming and Child Life was called to calm him down.

After genetics, we headed back down to the lab and signed in. I was told that Brad may not be able to take a glucose test because he did not fast. I wasn't aware, he was supposed to fast. I fed the kids, earlier to avoid disasters in the food court. The food court is next to the lab. Brad did well in the lab, better than expected. It took about three people to calm him down plus a light up toy.

The hospital called the clinic to ask about when they wanted the glucose done. I thought I would be back at the hospital, within a few days (need two day notice for medical transportation), but the clinic said that they have a lab and they want to do the lab work. Oh joy. I scheduled the appointment and transportation. A few hours before his appointment, I got a call from someone at the clinic, asking if Brad was really coming for lab work. DUH. He missed school. His dr needs the results. He need a doctors note. He did better than expected there. It took a reeces, in my purse,  to keep him calm. The tech held the reeces in her hand as a visual to get Brad to cooperate.

He has mean mugged the tech, on our last few visits lol.

Last week (March 20),  Brad had a field trip to a field day. I found the permission slip, balled up on the floor. I misplaced it and asked for another one, after I saw a note on the classroom app, asking parents to sign and return the slips. I had a drs appointment on the 20th too. The day before, he had a major meltdown (that may be another post), and I decided not to send him to school, the next day.

But, I did get a call, the Friday before, from a teacher, asking if Brad was really coming on the field trip. I did view photos of the field trip on Twitter. Brad would have had fun, running and jumping, but he still would have liked to go, if he was behaving well. Brad should not have to stay home from every field trip because a teacher or staff member, does not want him to go because of his potential behavior. Trust me, as a parent, I run every field trip though a bunch of scenarios before signing my name off. Brad wants to go places and does not want to be left out. His mama also needs a break.

Joel Ohman Other Bodies Book Review (FlyBy Blog Promotions)

Disclaimer: This post contains Amazon affiliate links.

I read Other Bodies, in exchange for honest review from FlyBy Blog Promotions. The book was written by Joel Ohman. The book is a dystopian, YA book, to help "change people's minds about abortion."

The book, starts out well. You see Hattie, walking through the streets, going through a personal crisis. The author is descriptive when describing the sky, voices heard, and the crazy, who tries to slow her down. I felt a lot of tension in that scene because you didn't know if he was going to attack her. I was hooked in that scene.

You can purchase the book, using the link above. The book is available in kindle and paperback format. The book is also available on iBooks and Barnes and Noble.

Excerpt

A Soldier’s Story

Shortly after I turned 18, I enlisted in the army. Around that time, I learned that the young woman I’d been dating was pregnant, so going into the army would be an opportunity to provide for my child. The army sent me to Fort Dix in New Jersey for boot camp training on April 22, 1982. It was the perfect enlistment site for me.

Because of the popular television show, Dallas, I had in mind that I wanted to go to Fort Hood, Texas and meet JR Ewing. Not only did I meet Larry Hagman, the actor who played JR, but I also met the entire cast at one of the big Dallas malls. That was in the 80s when the networks spent money to have cast members show up to greet their fans, and when fans could easily get a photo with the stars. Meeting JR had been on my mental bucket list. Later I learned that “Klinger” from Mash and Danny Thomas were both from Toledo, and so I added them to the list.

In 1983, I re-enlisted and chose Hawaii as my next army stint. There for 18 months, I’m convinced that the Hawaii move helped me look long and hard at myself and my future. In Hawaii, I decided I needed to better myself. I enrolled at the Wahiawa Community School for Adults and got my high school diploma. My mother was so disappointed when I didn’t graduate from high school, so I did it as much for her as for myself.

My long transportation management career began in Wahiawa. I was one of a large number of applicants who applied for a temporary mission of driving for the Sergeant Major for the division. He was the senior enlisted man at the post. I beat out the other candidates for that position. Later, I drove for the one-star general at the post. After that, I returned to my unit and worked as the battalion mail clerk until he left in 1985. While there, I met friends and mentors who would help me decide on my career journey. That same year, I was asked to re-enlist, and First Sergeant Herbert Harris became a lifelong mentor and friend. Sergeant Harris recommended that I choose Fort Eustis in Newport News, Virginia for my re-enlistment. I remained at Fort Eustis from April 1985 until January 1988.

I became a squad leader, and for the next six months, I managed a squad of truck drivers in and around the base. After that, I was set on transportation becoming my specialty, but my career trajectory changed some when I was appointed to head up NCO Training, where I was responsible for the training of 270 soldiers.

Around this time, I met First Sergeant Fletcher Walker. He was sent in to straighten out our company, and he did just that. He would stand up at the top of the stairs with his hat covering his eyes but looking down at us. Sergeant Walker was a ‘soldier among soldiers,’ an airborne paratrooper, a Vietnam Veteran who had been shot three times. There was no one more surprised when he chose me to run the training.

I knew he had high expectations, and I was determined not to disappoint him. He was the kind of leaders for whom soldiers would fight and die. He was a true hero who taught me how to be a soldier and a man. He shared a lot about life with me. I imitated him in many ways so much that everyone would call me “Baby Walker.” I met his family and it was an honor. He retired as a Command Sergeant Major.

JZ Brain Electric Spray Paint Gun Review (Tomoson).

Disclaimer: This post contains Amazon Affiliate Links.

I received the JZ Brain Electric Spray Gun, in exchange for honest review from Tomoson.

I wanted to review it to help with small, diy projects around the house, such as a small, hexagon table, in the living room. The table is a solid wood, which has become stained over the years with marker, paint stains, crayon, and other stuff, I can't easily clean off.

The sprayer comes with a manual, additional heads in different sizes,  a viscosity measuring cup, a wrench, and a head cleaner. The sprayer has a built in regulator and has three spray patterns.

The manual was helpful because I didn't realize you needed to use thinner to help the paint, spray better. The manual taught me about how to use thinner with paint before adding the paint to the sprayer. I have paint and was going to pour it straight in the sprayer. Glad I did not.

The paint holder is easy to remove. The nozzles are easy to remove as well.

You can purchase the sprayer, on Amazon, using the link above. The sprayer is prime-eligible.

Suphouse chalkboard style thank you cards review (Tomoson).

Disclaimer: This post contains Amazon Affiliate Links.

I received SupHouse's retro chalkboard style, thank you cards, in exchange for honest review from Tomoson. The cards come in a set of 36, 6 of each style. The cards are blank on the inside with a white background.  The set also comes with envelopes and envelope seals. The cards would be great for thank yous for birthday parties, baby showers, graduation thank yous,  wedding gifts, or simply just because you are thankful.

I liked the thank you card sets because of the chalkboard style print. I also thought the cards, would work great with chalkboard markers, if I wanted to write a message on the backside of the card. My creative side would love a chalkboard style of blank cards (chalkboard on the inside and outside) so I can truly personlize a greeting card.

You can purchase the cards, using the link above. The cards are prime-eligible.

Femonden Adhesive Bathroom Shelf Review (Tomoson)

Disclaimer: This post contains Amazon Affiliate Links.

I received Femonden Adhesive Bathroom Shelf,
http://amzla.com/1ji4goikfgv8x

in exchange for honest review from Tomoson. I wanted it for extra storage in the bathroom. The shelf comes with an adhesive insert for adhesion to different surfaces.

I had troubles adhering the shelf to the surfaces in the bathroom. The shelf would not stick to the tub tiles nor the popcorn wall. It also did not adhere well to the wood in the bathroom cabinet. I ended up using the shelf, in my bathroom cabinet, as a toilet paper and baby wipe holder.

You can also use the shelf for other uses, such as a spice rack in the kitchen.

You can purchase the shelf, on Amazon, using the link above. The shelf is prime-eligible. You also can buy a 2 tiered shelf.

SociLive Stream Review (Tomoson)

I received access to SociLiveStream, in exchange for honest review from Tomoson.

The app allows you to stream live or stream recorded videos from your social media channels. The app does provide training videos for you to view before getting started.

If you want to promote your businesses or maybe a product review video, you can use this app to help create and promote. The app will share to your social media channels at scheduled times. You also can go live with your videos.

First, with youtube videos, you will need to upload a file to generate a video.  My first issue was my pc is low on memory. I could not upload zny files from my computer, but I could from my phone. I used the video generator to upload a test file of a few cloud photos, I have taken around Houston.

Another feature is you can see all of your youtube videos with stats.

I also tried out the Facebook Live Scheduler. I choose a video of my kids from Morgan's Wonderland as a test. The Live Scheduler lets you post a video, either scheduled or live. auto like, and auto comment. You also can post to a group and share to your personal timeline. It took me a few tries, but I got an alert on my phone, the video was live.

I noticed auto like will like from all your facebook pages. I had better success with the Facebook streams working

You can purchase the app from https://mappeal.co/social-live-stream/.
