Phil Wickham Children of God CD Review (FlyBy Blog Promotions)

I received Phil Wickham, Children of God CD, in exchange for honest review. Wickham is a Christian artist. I never heard of Wickham before this campaign. This cd is his first since his surgery in 2014 to remove a vocal polyp. He has a new sound and renewed energy in praising God for his healing from his life changing, down on his knees, surrender to God awakening.

My favorite song is Your Love Awakens Me (see video above). It has an upbeat tempo, praising God for awakening him. Another favorite is Doxology/Amen, the first song on the cd. It is a slow, worship song.

The cd is a great cd. Check out the buy links below.

When I was a child, we spent a a few days each summer at SplashTown. I loved the wave ride and the lazy river. I have not been back to SplashTown since the early 2000s but it is a great time to take the kids back and let them experience the magic of the water park.

Wet n Wild Splashtown is Houston's largest and closest water park with over 80 acres of fun. The park offers something for everyone with rides, which include the Tornado, RipQurl, and Texas Freefall. Experience the new attractions, which include Big Kahuna, a thrill raft ride, which takes you on a white water journey filled with alternating tunnels, twists, and turns. Or try out Wet and Wild jr, an interactive ride for children of all ages. Children can also improve skills on FlowRider double.

The Eleventh Review (FlyBy Blog Promotions)

Disclaimer: This post was sponsored by FlyBy Blog Promotions. I was not provided any compensation for this promotion other than a free screening of the first episode.

I have been seeing screeners for The Eleventh and the Feeln network before. I thought it was a movie versus a series.

This month, Feeln has launched The Eleventh, which features Cloris Leachman, Ed Asner, and Florence Henderson. Feeln is a subcription, streaming service, which brings you stories of love and togetherness, similar to the Hallmark Channel.

The movies aare handpicked and has exclusive Hallmark Hall of Fame features, Hollywood Movies, and TV shows. The service also has original series, such as The Eleventh.

The series focuses on a woman's journey to know her estranged grandma to bring closure and unite the family. The series themes include forgiveness, healing and love.

I liked some of the preview. I was a litte confused at first. From what I gathered, a woman has started to reconnect with her grandma, after her mother died. The first episode was not clear on what caused the estrangement. The granddaughter wants to connect, but she is met with resistance from her father. I also felt the grandma (Leachman) wants to reconnect with family before passing on.  I hope the series will continue to develop the story line so I can see what caused the rift between the family.

Mother and Son Review (FlyBy Blog Promotions)

Disclaimer: This post contains Amazon Affiliate Links.

I read Mother and Son, in exchange for honest review. The book was written by Emerson Eggerichs.

About the Book:

A new book from W Publishing Group/HarperCollins asks you to consider the all important mother/son relationship in a new way: respect, as in the mother should respect the son.

Dr. Emerson Eggerichs, author of Love and Respect – a landmark book that transformed millions of marital relationships – is launching his latest book, Mother & Son: The Respect Effect.

In Mother & Son, Dr. Eggerichs proposes that while showing love is important to a son, showing
him respect is key to his heart, and what will transform the mother/son relationship. Of course,
to a lot of people, that will sound backwards – shouldn’t it start with the son respecting the
mother??

Since the importance of the mother/son relationship crosses all age/race/religion barriers, this
is a topic applicable to all – regardless if they agree or disagree with Dr. Eggerichs’ method.

My Review

I wanted to read the book since I am a mother of sons. I have no idea if my children respect me since they are special needs. Parents want love and respect, and children want the same.

One thing, which stood out was the author correlated love and respect. He said how some parents value love over respect and some prefer respect over love. I think I am one of the parents, who prefers love over respect. I also have to show my kids love and respect.

You can purchase the book using the first link above. The book comes in paperback, audible, mp3 cd, hardback, and kindle format.

Acoco Electric Nail Care System Review (Tomoson)

Disclaimer: This post contains Amazon Affiliate Links.

I received Electric Nail Care System, in exchange for honest review from Tomoson. The system comes with the nail care device and 3 heads (pink, grey, and green). The system does not come with batteries (2 AAs needed). The grey head is for grinding. The  green is for sharpening, and the pink is for polishing. I used the green to remove a few sharp edges from my nails.

The speed is a bit slower than other buffers used in the past but I don't mind.

Next, the system has two on buttons--one for left handers and one for right handers, with the off button in the middle. On the bottom of the buffer is the speed button. Hi and low.

You can purchase the nail care system using the link above. The system is prime-eligible

Wonderland Adult Comic Book Review (Blogging for Books)

Disclaimer: This post contains AMazon Afiliate Links

I received  Wonderland, an adult coloring book, by Amily Shen, in exchange for honest review from Blogging for books. I recommend removing the cover because it moves too much while coloring. The book starts with you coloring a cafe scene, drinking coffee or tea. Then moves into the story of Alice in Wonderland

The images have a lot of details for you to color, providing hours of entertainment. The book is part coloring book and part story. You can read along and color along to the story. This sets it apart from other adult coloring books, I have.

You can purchase the book using the link above. The book is prime-eligible.

Apocalyptic Tremors Review (BookLook Bloggers)

Disclaimer: I received this in exchange for honest review from BookLook Bloggers.

I read Apocalyptic Tremors in exchange for honest review. The book was written by C.R. Chapman. The book helps people study the Book of Revelations in the bible.  I have read the Book of Revelations before and it is a scary, yet beautiful chapter. From the Earth's last days, to a description of Satan, and a description of Heaven, Revelation is an interesting chapter to read. Revelations contains symbolism as well.

God provided John a great vision of what is to come, but Revelations can be a hard chapter to read. Things, which have confused me is the 144,000 people, who will be raptured. When I first read the book, I thought this was all the people going to Heaven and the millions of other people in the world was doomed to Hell.

I also was confused about the first and second rapture, but I do love how people can still get saved during tribulation. The author did provide a chapter about tribulation. Chapman discussed how tribulation can be a time of joy, a time of testing, a time of punishment, and a time of persecution. Christians will be tested and killed for their beliefs during tribulation. I hope there is not too many plenty of Peter moments during this time (denying God). The author also said tribulation can be a time of deliverance from hell to eternal life.

I admit parts of the book was hard to understand, no matter how many times I read parts over again. This book and the book of Revelations is meant to be read slow for understanding.

I do like the diagram, which explains Revelations seals, trumpets and bowls. The author provides plenty of charts to help explain Revelations.

You can purchase the book, using the link above in Paperback and Kindle format. The book is prime-eligible.

Tree of Life Diffuser Necklace

Disclaimer: This post contains Amazon Affiliate Links.

I received the Tree of Life Diffuser Necklace, in exchange for honest review from Tomoson. The necklace comes with the necklace, a carrying case, and pads for the oils.

I liked the necklace. I struggled with finding out how to open it at first, but eventually found the opening tab on the side. It was easy to add oil to one of the pads and place inside the necklace. The first test, I tried vanilla oil. The vanilla didn't come out as strong as I wanted it, but I did inhale the necklace from time to time throughout the day. I also like how it comes with a bunch of pads, great for various oils.

You an purchase the necklace, using the link above.
