Poise has developed a new way to control light bladder leakage and urinary incontinence. The LBL market has many options, which include pads and adult undies. Some people also use water proof undies, not to mention regular menstrual pads and pantiliners.

#RecycleYourPeriodPad Poise Campaign (Linqia)

For the #RecycleYourPeriodPad Campaign, I had trouble deciding what to make. Aunt flo also showed up this week and Kalen just happened to rip one of my pads and tried to destroy it.

I made a bracelet with a bow and a breast cancer awareness pin.

I took one of my Always Infinity Pads. Drew some orange drops to represent  jewelry. I also painted the background purple. Next, I pinned a breast cancer awareness pin in the middle. Finally, I took the green backing, ripped it in two, and hot glued both pieces to the back to the pad, and made a bow with both pieces.

The purpose for the campaign:

Many people, including me, uses period pads for light bladder leakage, instead of a product designed for light bladder leakage, such as Poise. My mother is notorious for this too. She had a hysterectomy years ago. She no longer has a cycle but she still buys period pads for light bladder leakage.

According to the media kit, 1: 3 women experience light bladder leakage (LBL), but using a LBL pad offers a dryness, not offered by a period pad. LBL is for LBL pads, not period pads.

Poise has designed a new thin-shape pad, which is 40% thinner than the original brand pads. The new thin shape pads are designed for light bladder leakage. The thin-shape pads are designed to move with your body. The pads also feature SAM (super absorbent material) and a thin flex design, which is  3x drier than a period pad.

The campaign wants women to turn a few of their period pads into a project such as a bracelet or a floor cleaner, or a headband to help them to remember period pads are not for LBL.
