Aoede's Is Love a Fairy Tale Product Review (Tomoson)

I reviewed Aoede's (A-E-DE), Is Love a Fairy Tale, in exchange for honest review from Tomoson. I had previously reviewed Aoede's, What are dreams made of.

About Aoede's Is Love a Fairy Tale?

Is Love a Fairy Tale is an musical story, with narration and music. Aoede is looking for love in Wonderhaven. The CD is made for tweens and young adults.

The CD is the third one featuring Aoede. The collection has won three awards.

  1. Creative Child's Magazine's Preferred Choice Award Kids- CD Category
  2. Tillywig Toy Award-Sterling Fun
  3. Family Review Center's Gold Award
  4. LA Music Awards-Children's Album of the year
  5. ISC Winner for Children's Music
  6. John Lesson Songwriting contest finalist
  7. Best children's album in 55th annual Grammy awards.

My Review:

The CD has an upbeat tone. The chapters are short enough to capture a child's attention. Aoede (A E DE) is a musical muse. Aoede wants to find love. She been blessing people with her music for centuries but still has not found love. She has an youthful look, but still has not found love. Aoede wonder if love is a fairy tale? She sets out on a quest, meeting colorful characters on her way, such as a frog and a man, growing fancy carrots. Her new acquaintances teach her to find happiness in the little things.

Aoede does fall for Mr. Wonderful for the wrong reasons. Her fairy GodMother tells her she is thinking with emotions, instead of logic. Aoede continues to look for love. :-). Will she find it?
