Social Media and Wordpress Consultant Barb Drozdowich has taught in colleges,universities and in the banking industry.

More recently, she brings her 15+ years of teaching experience and a deep love of books to help authors develop the socialmedia platform needed to succeed in today’s fast evolving publishing world.

She owns Bakerview Consulting and manages the popular blog, Sugarbeat’s Books,

where she talks about Romance – mostly Regency. She is the author of 6 books and over 20 YouTube videos all focused on helping authors and bloggers. Barb lives in the mountains of British Columbia with her family.

Book Review:

I am an author of poetry and short stories. Many of the things I learned throughout the process, I learned from trial and error. I still struggle with issues such as promotion and marketing (because I am cheap) and I probably need new book covers to increase sales (but I am cheap). My sister, on the other hand, has wrote a few books as well, and has developed a mastery in sales and promotions. She sells her books anywhere and everywhere. 

In the book, the author, Barb D. discusses the basic tenets for writing a book, besides writing the book. Amazon Author Central is a good topic because that's where you create your author profile and add books to your page. Everytime, I write a book, I have to add it to the author profile, so if someone searches for me, all my books are on one page.

Sandy Appleyard writes both fiction and non-fiction: memoirs, self-help, suspense, romance and mystery/police-procedural. When she isn’t writing books, she writes blogs, reads, exercises, and obsessively cleans her house.

Sandy is also an animal lover and gives regularly to local Humane Societies. She lives in Niagara Falls,Canada with her husband, two daughters and her cat.

Me: “You guys have to try to remember to turn lights off when you’re not in a room. That’s wasting money.”

Olivia: “Yeah and when we waste money that means less money Mommy and Daddy have to buy us toys.”

My Review

The book is a hilarious look at motherhood. The author recorded humorous things, her children said and put them in a book. I loved how Olivia called a blood pressure machine an arm humper (#12).  or when Victoria was crying and Olivia wanted to tell mommy something, which was Victoria was crying.

Brad (my son) does the same thing to Kalen. For example, if Kalen poops, Brad will say stink and point at his brother. If I move too slow, Brad will rip off Kalen's diaper and bring me the evidence. He also will pick up Kalen and bring him to me, sometimes with a clean diaper and back up clothes. 

#20 and #22 was real funny. 

The book is a humorous look at parenting, from the eyes of a mother.

My Review:

Little Sally is trying to escape her past, just like most of us, but she is not successful at first. She's a busy mom, moving in all directions. Just like me, she was impulsive and worried, rethinking every decision to make sure it's the right one. 

Then, an accident happens. Sally gets hit by a by bus. 3 kids and hubby in tow. Her life changed dramatically after that. Things she used to do, she couldn't anymore. To escape, she did something, I haven't done since High School--She Ran. Sally has to re-learn to love and value her self to heal, recover, and experience life again. 

The book was interesting and I enjoyed reading the book. The book is available in Kindle and paperback. The paperback is prime-eligible.
