Dawning of the Scarlett Book Blast and Giveaway (Goddess Fish Promotions)

Disclaimer: This post was sponsored by Goddess Fish Promotions.

As a pale revenant—the vampire faction believing all life is sacred—sixteen-year- old Scarlett Ellis has learned to hide in the human world. She goes to night-school, works at a coffee shop, and her uncle Chasem trains her in martial arts.

No matter what, she has to be prepared, because when she turns seventeen, she’ll be of Dawning age—and her biological father Apollo vows to see her dead first.
Expecting her Dawning to be impossible, she accepts the fact that she will become a rogue, forever hunted by revenant renegades and outcast by her own people. Scarlett thinks she’s prepared for this—until the curly-haired Nicholas Lightener walks into her life and asks her out on a date.

Torn between her feelings for Nick and the danger of the revenant world, Scarlett’s strange life is turned inside-out when she’s kidnapped and forced to do the one thing she swore she’d never do. Plus, she has no idea whose memories keep appearing in her dreams, or if they can even help her. Determined to free herself from a death sentence, Scarlett must fight to become who she was born to be.

Excerpt

Suddenly, I’m standing in a field, illuminated by sunlight, but I'm not burning. It's warm andrelaxing. I look down to the translucent skin of my hands and can see the blood coursing
through my veins. I turn my hand over, staring at it.

A movement catches my eye and I look up. Before me is a beautiful woman with dark hair and
clear eyes. At first, her gaze is loving, adoring almost, and then it fades into a bone-chilling
shriek as she turns to run away in horror. I try to reassure her that it’s okay, but the words get
stuck in my throat. Her skin burns and flakes away, and before I know it, her scream fades to a
muffled shriek, abruptly cut off as she becomes a pile of ash. A maniacal laugh sounds beside
me, and I turn to see a dark-headed man with a deviant grin.

Wasn't that lovely? he asks me, laughing right as I feel my skin start to burn.

Collage This Journal Review (Blogging for Books)

Disclaimer: This post contains Amazon Affiliate Links.

I received Collage This Journal in exchange for honest review. The book was written by Eleanor Shakesphere.

In the book, each set of pages has a prompt. You can used mixed mediums to describe the prompt, whether colored pencils, pens, markers, etc. You also can cut and paste different materials into the book to tell your story.

I liked the book because it is different from a traditional lined or unlined journal, to write down thoughts. With the journal, you can take your thoughts further by adding creativity to them.

You can purchase the book, using the link above.

Weather X Brand Emergency Flashlight with USB Port Review (Tomoson)

I received the Weather X Portable Flashlight with USB Port in exchange for honest review from Tomoson. The flashlight does not require batteries but you do have to charge it, similar to any phone or bluetooth device. The device does come with one USB port, which charged my phone and kindle without issue.

The flashlight operates on a simple on/off switch, which my kids figured out quick. The light is bright. Great for emergency situations, such as walking downstairs with a group of kids, who are afraid of the dark and want something to eat.

The flashlight also comes with a glass breaker and seat belt cutter, perfect to put in your car for emergencies.

You can purchase the flashlight, using the link above.

#RhinestoneStretchBracelet Review (Tomoson)

Disclaimer: This post contains Amazon Affiliate Links.

I received the Rhinestone Stretch Bracelet, in exchange for honest review from Tomoson. The pictures show the 1 row bracelet, but the store sells 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8 and 10 row rhinestone bracelets. The bracelet does have some stretch to it so it fit fine over my arm. I wore it to church so far with a dress. The bracelet is simply beautiful and gorgeous. I also plan to wear it on formal nights for a family cruise.

You can purchase a bracelet using the link above. The bracelet is prime-eligible.

Gaia EarthWerks Dermal Mask Review (Tomoson)

I received Gaia EarthWorks Bentonite Dermal Mask, in exchange for honest review. I have used bentonite clay masks before, alone, and mixed with other clays such as ghassoul and papaya. The masks also work well with water or essential oils such as lemon or tea tree.

With the mask, you mix a little into a bowl. You can mix it with water or essential oils. I prefer essential oils because it mixes better and less messier. You then apply it on your face and let it dry. When washed off, your face looks cleaner and more refreshed.

I did not notice any irritation with the mask. You can buy the dermal mask or a dermal mask with alpha-arbutin whitening, using the link above.

Escape the Room Review (Tomoson)

Disclaimer: I received this in exchange for honest review.

I received Think Fun's Escape the Room: Mystery at Stargazer's Mansion, in exchange for honest review. The game comes with a clue circle, instructions, and cards for each room. The game is a multiplayer game and you have to escape the room, using the clues on each room card. The room card is an envelope with additional clues, you may need to solve the puzzle. You are not to open up the clue envelopes in advance. You start off reading the backstory to the group (3-8 players) and then move into the game. The game is timed so you will need a timer (not included) to use with the game. My phone has a stop watch on it and I have a timer.

Hint are available online on Thinkfun's website.

I love escape the room games. I been playing them online for years. It takes me a while to escape and this game is no different. I played with my nephew at first and we got stuck in the second room. We couldn't figure out the astronomer's map for the next clue to the room. When you think you have solve the puzzle of each room, you use the clue circle wheel to determine if you are correct or not. It is hard to cheat with the wheel unless you want to spend all day aligning up the icons.

The game definitely is not easy. My nephew came up with an amazing backstory of the astronomer's map when we couldn't figure out the clue.

You can purchase the game, using the link above. The game is prime-eligible.

#Collecteables Review and Campaign (Tomoson)

I received Collecteables in exchange for honest review. I received Shakespearmint, Agatha Christea (Earl Grey) and Mint Tea. I loved the mint teas the most.

Collectables is part of a KickStarter program, which has created a tea book (to store teas ) and a line of teas to drink. I love tea and love trying new varieties. I do have a tea box, to store teas, when I remember to put them in the box. I had tea (and still do) in my purse, in storage bins, and still stored in original teas. The tea collection can get out of control. I like the tea book because it helps you store your tea packets neatly.

Each tea comes with a comes with a limited edition, beautiful foil cover. Each month, the company will deliver a new collecteable, with musicians, politicians, animals, philosophers. The teas fit into the tea book, which comes in multiple colors.

Collecteables is raising monies to bring the tea book and collecteables to market. The campaign ends May 18, 2016.

Spritz N Wipe Review (Giveaway Service)

Disclaimer: This post contains Amazon Affiliate Links. I received this product in exchange for review from Giveaway Service website. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.

I received the Spritz N Wipe, in exchange for honest review from Giveaway Service.

The Spritz N Wipe allows you to moisten your own dry toilet tissue without buying wet wipes. I have a box of feminine wipes in my closet for months because I keep forgetting to use it. I also sometimes use baby wipes or adult cleaning wipes (since my kids use them and they are already in the bathroom, but yet I can't complain if they run out early before payday).

The Spritz N Wipe was easy to put together. You receive the cleaning solution, the dispenser, the velcro wall holder, and the batteries. I put the solution in backwards at first, but figured it out quickly. The motion sensor works fine. You have to roll up a few sheets of toilet paper and put it under the motion sensor to dispense solution. The power switch is on the back of the unit. I keep it off until I need it to keep kids from dispensing solution.

Since you are using toilet paper, using Spritz N Wipe is septic tank friendly.

You can purchase the product on Amazon, using the link above. Spritz N Wipe is not prime-eligible.

MMP Living Little Virtuoso Idol Microphone Review (Tomoson)

Disclaimer: This post contains Amazon Affiliate Links.

I received the Little Virtuoso Idol Maker Microphone, in exchange for honest review.

They did some serious kiddie fighting over the mic (my oldest and youngest; great niece; and cousin). My youngest and oldest loves playing the music part, while my niece sings on the microphone. The microphone did not work well with any of my mp3 players but did work well with using google play on my phone. The microphone was easy to put together and take apart when needed.

The volume for the preloaded songs was loud but the volume for connecting a phone or other device was not loud. I could barely hear it.

You can purchase the microphone using the link above. The mic is prime-eligible.

I received the Spritz N Clean, in exchange for honest review from Giveaway Service. The system comes with cleaning solution; the cleaning device; a carrying case for the device; a cleaning cloth; and a carrying case for the solution and cloth. The system also comes with batteries.

The device is easy to use. You fill the device with solution at the top. The batteries go in the back. You slide the device down and spray the solution on your glasses or other screens. Let the solution sit for a few seconds and wipe off. When you slide the device down, a blue light turns on. When done, your screens and glasses are clean. I had no issues with the device.
