About the Author:
Joyce grew up in the Midwest and attended college and grad school in Chicago. After working in mental health, she retired to write full-time. Her first book, Eliza, was published in 2012. A Wicked Truth is the third book in the Cady Delafield series. When she isn’t writing mysteries or historical romances, she loves to swim, walk and is a crossword puzzle fanatic. She and her husband live in Florida and Minnesota, in her very own little house on the prairie.

Book Review
I wanted to read the book because the description sounded amazing. The couple is about to get married, but runs into a snag. The book's prologue starts in the late 1800s. The prologue was an interesting read. You have a woman held against her will, for sexual pleasure, and thought of a brilliant plan to escape. The prologue does contain sexual language. I was very impressed by the prologue and wanted to read more of the book. The prologue was solid writing gold. (Bwahahahahaha :-) but then shocked at the end.I also liked how Doyle choose to wait until marriage to indulge in sex (Chapter 1). Even though Cady wanted to have sex, Doyle had more willpower.
