I recieved Morning Magic, in exchange for honest review from Tomoson. The book was written by Giles Smith and illustrated by Milena Salieri.
The book is about a little girl, who is also a witch. She is getting ready for her first day of school and runs into some obstacles in getting to school on time. She reminds me of some days, when I struggle to get my kids to school or church on time, Maybe even to make sure we get to the doctor appointment on time.
For example, a while ago, our church was having a special event on Sunday. Normally, the bus comes to pick us up after 7:50. I woke up at 630 but I was struggling getting everything ready. I was checking bags, but I still haven't showered or got the kids up yet. I thought I had time to do a spot clean too because the kids had trash all over my bedroom floor.
Anyway, I get a call saying they was coming at 730 instead of after 750. Crap. I had to quickly jump in the shower and then get the kids up and ready. This was 7 am when the called. I made it in the knick of time, but the bus did not come at 730. He pulled up around 740/745. I needed those extra minutes badly. I still ended up forgetting to check brad's shoes, which was on backwards and he had no socks on either. Rushing is not for me.
The girl in the book also needed extra minutes. She needed more time to deal with all those issues, which popped up. I also loved the colorful graphics, Salieri had throughout the book .
You can purchase the book using the link above, in paperback format only.
