The Lumo Project is coming to Netflix, starting with The Gospel of John. The Lumo Project will change how "we discover, study, and engage with the life of Jesus through the four New Testament Gospels"


The project brings the bible to life. I received access to The Gospel of John. The movie featured a narrator reading the gospel, while the actors performed the background scenes. The actors never talked.

THE GOSPEL OF JOHN

The movie discusses the "miracles and teachings as evidence of Jesus's special relationship as the divine son of God". The movie is a little over 2 hours long. The Gospel is also narrated by British actor, David Harewood. The film's location is villages and the countryside of rural Morocco, which represents Palestine. 

The Gospel of John takes the story of Jesus from John’s gospel with its own unique characteristics. For John, Jesus is the Word of God made human. John is clear that that when encounter Jesus, we encounter God. The gospel writer points to the miracles (the ‘Signs’) and teachings as evidence of Jesus’ special relationship as the divine Son of God.


You simply listened and witness the Gospel. Some of the scenes included John the Baptist, baptizing new converts or the disciples following Jesus. The movie was very powerful.

The movie was also available in a few versions: Spanish, King James Version (KJV), and The New International Version (NIV).

The three other gospels will also be released to Netflix. All the gospels tell the story of Jesus.
