Pine Brothers Softish Throat Drops Review (Tomoson)

Disclosure: I got this product as part of an advertorial.

I Reviewed Pine Brothers Softish Cough Drops, in response to a campaign on Tomoson. I received Cherry and Honey Flavors in bags and tins.

About the Company:

In 1870, J. Herman Pine and his brother sold their first batch of Pine Brothers Glycerine Tablets, to relieve his and his family's sore throat. Mr. Pine, a former candy maker in Germany, thought he can combine gum acacia (healing) with glycerin (soothing). The recipe has not changed in over 140 years.
In 1930, the company was sold to Life Savers, who sold the company. The company was sold over and over again, which affected sales and loyalty. Recently, the company was acquired by the creator and former owner of Airborne. Victoria Knight-McDowell sought to find the original recipes and changed the packaging. The products are also natural and made in America.

My Review

I wanted to review Pine Brothers Softish Cough Drops because it was different from regular, hard, cough drops. The first thing, which stood out was the products are natural. The taste is different as well. You can taste the honey and cherry, but it's not overpowering.  Pine Brothers are not your traditional cough drop.

Next, the drops are meant to be savored, eaten slow. Trying to rush increases risk of choking on a piece of the drop. Learned that the hard way.

Next, my kids, nieces, and nephews enjoyed the drops. I shared the products with the whole household.

Finally, I had a sore throat all day today. I spent yesterday, cleaning out my sister's old room. The room was stuffy, very stuffy. Probably due to the cigarette butts, she and my uncle (who took over the room a few months ago, but now kicked out the room to make room for my cousin). Toss in dusty clothes and old papers everywhere, it was a disaster waiting to happen. Glad she moved downstairs :-). Her closet also contained mold, which is soon to be bleached, once I buy a dust mask. I lost my voice. My throat was itchy. It hurt to talk, breath, and cough. After taking a few honey drops, my voice slowly came back.

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
