About the book: 

The book is about Hal Thompson, a widower, who owns a travel agency. His children convince him to try hypnotic past-life regression, which reveals the hiding place of Aztec Gold. Others are not happy with this revelation and Hal has to travel via his memories and in-real life to find the gold.

My Review:

The book started out a little confusing until page 11. It was a graphical account of someone, named Reynolds. Reynolds is a soldier in the navy, stationed in Hawaii,  experiencing the bombing of Pearl Harbor. It was Sunday and Reynolds was groggy and tipsy. Hal was watching Brian, aka, Reynolds, aka his son, go through a hypnotic state

Hal's kids Brian and Wendy want their father to try hypnotic past-life regression, but Hal is a skeptic. Hal eventually gives in to his kid's request and goes in for a session. In his past life, He was a Spanish Moor named Emilio, living in 1845. Emilio was on the Hispaniola heading to the West Indies and Cuba, looking for land and riches. Gold. Aztec gold. Cortes. Hernando Cortes and the Lost City of Gold (El Dorado). The city has never been found but small traces of gold has been discovered.

According to WebChron,  Cortes founded the colony of New Spain in Mexico. Cortes captured Montezuma and eventually renamed the area Mexico City, after the battle was over.

Emilio noticed the Queen Xia running with gold on her. She dies, but Emilio and his friend, Fernando, takes the gold from her.

Hal steps back into reality, but immediately is involved in a Hunt for Queen Xia's gold.

The book was a good read. One of those books, you hate to put down. The book combines fiction with history. One part of the book is set in modern times, while the regressions are set in 1845.
