Sensory Solutions Wiggle Seat Review (Tomoson)

Disclaimer: This post contains Amazon Affiliate Links.

I received the Wiggle Seat Inflatable Sensory Chair Cushion for Kids - Blue, in exchange for honest and unbiased review. I wanted this seat for Kalen, who has sensory processing disorder. Brad could also use it since he has sensory issues. Kalen has used sensory toys in therapy before. This seat was similar to a spiky ball, but with little nubs or raises. There are spikes on one side and little nubs on the other side.

The seat was easy to inflate, but I did not know how to deflate the seat. I searched through other amazon reviews and found out how to deflate it. The seat does come with a pump. To deflate, remove the needle from the pump. Place the needle in the air hole for the seat, and squeeze until happy.

Your child can use the seat by itself or place it in a chair and sit on top of it. I have done both. I even tried using it in Kalen's bean bag chair, but the seat was too big for the chair.

You can purchase the wiggle seat on Amazon, using the link above. The seat comes in blue, black, green, orange, pink, purple, and yellow. The wiggle seat is prime-eligible.

About the Book and Movie:

CAPTIVE, based on a miraculous true story that drew the attention of the entire nation, is a thrilling drama about the spiritual collision of two broken lives. When Brian Nichols - on the run as the subject of a city wide manhunt and desperate to make contact with his newborn son - takes recovering meth addict Ashley Smith hostage in her own apartment, she turns for guidance to Rick Warren’s best-selling inspirational book, The Purpose Driven Life. While reading aloud, Ashley and her would-be killer each face crossroads where despair and death intersect hope.

My Review

I used to live in Atlanta when Brian Nichols made the news. Some members of my household thought Smith and Nichols did more than read the Purpose Driven Life. It was nice to read her story, instead of speculation and rumors among family and friends. Before any of the drama happened, Smith was moving. Her husband was murder four years prior.  She was working two jobs. She had lost custody of her child and wanted to work to get her daughter back. Little did she know, one night would change her life. She saw Nichols in the parking lot and could have driven off, but she choose to take the risk and enter her home, captive.

You can purchase Captive: The Untold Story of the Atlanta Hostage Heroon Amazon in Kindle, Paperback, Audible, and Audio CD format.  The movie is also out in theatres now.

Bible Stories Gone Crazy Review (Kregel Blog Tours)

Disclaimer: This post contains Amazon Affiliate Links.

I received  Bible Stories Gone Crazy!, in exchange for honest review from Kregel Blog Tours. The book was written by Josh Edwards and illustrated by Emiliano Migliardo. The book is a children's book. The book reminds me of a hidden object puzzles mixed with where's waldo, except the pages are glossy and has the ability to be written on. Your kids will learn about the bible, while also sharpening eye coordination skills.

In the book, the author provides a summary of a bible story. The kids also have to find a teddy bear in each scene, along with the mistakes, not found in the bible. Each page also has a bible verse to help you find the mistakes. Each page also has questions for reflection, such as Do you think Noah really painted the ark?

I liked this book because my kids love to write, I mean scribble. I can read them the summary and they can have at it with a dry erase marker.

You can purchase the book in hardback format only, using the link above.

Tortuga Home Goods Extra Large Dish Drying Mat Review (Tomoson)

Disclaimer: This post contains Amazon Affiliate Links.

I received Extra-Large Silicone Dish-Drying Mat & High-Heat Resistant Trivet, in exchange for honest review from Tomoson. I wanted to review it because I am tired of traditional dish holders, which are hard to clean and filled with bacteria. No matter how much I bleach and clean, the traditional dish holders never feel truly clean to me.

The dish mat from Tortuga Homes is made from silicone, which makes it easy to clean. There are no hidden areas, which requires the sprayer to clean because the towel can't reach it. No hidden bacteria way down in the silverware holder. The dishes can dry on the mat, then the family can put up the dishes.

You can purchase the mat on Amazon, using the link above. You can purchase the mats in a pack of 1 or two, in either black or grey.

The biggest story: How the snake crusher brings us back to the garden review (FlyBy Blog Promotions)

Disclaimer: This post contains Amazon Affiliate Links.

About the Book:

In The Biggest Story, Kevin DeYoung - a best-selling author and father of six - leads kids and parents alike on an exciting journey through the Bible, connecting the dots from the garden of Eden to Christ's death on the cross to the new heave and new earth. With powerful illustrations by award-winning artist Don Clark, this imaginative retelling of the Bible's core message-how the Snake Crusher brings us back to the garden-will draw children into the biblical story, teaching them that God's promises are even bigger and better than we think.

About the Author:

Kevin DeYoung is senior pastor at University Reformed Church in East Lansing, Michigan. He blogs at the Gospel Coalition and has authored or coauthored numerous well-known books, including Just Do Something, The Hole in Our Holiness, Crazy Busy, and Taking God At His Word. He lives with his wife and their 6 children in Central Michigan.

My Review

I read The Biggest Story: How the Snake Crusher Brings Us Back to the Garden, in exchange for honest review from Flyby Blog Promotions. I received a hardback copy of the book. The book is a childrens book. The book was written by Kevin DeYoung.

The book's premise is that Adam and Eve led a terrific life before the fall. They were the only two people on Earth. They talked with God. They took care of the animals. The couple lived in a perfect paradise until they partook of the Tree of Good and Evil. Then, they was removed from the garden.

My pastor, a few weeks ago, said God had to remove them from the Garden. The garden represented perfection and Adam and Eve was not perfect anymore. Eating of the tree brought sin, shame, and lies into the world. Partaking of the fruit changed their relationship with God. Of course, this also meant Jesus came eventually, died for our sins, and rose again.  God also promised Eve, one of her children will defeat the snake in the final battle. Now, which kid will it be. Cain and Abel didn't get along, in fact they provided the stage for the first murder in history.

The book also discusses how God was not happy with the world, so he destroyed it with a flood. Noah became the new Adam and his family became the first residents of the new Earth. Sin was still present though in the new Earth. Other topics include the Tower of Babel; The Story of Abraham; The Story of Jacob and his sons Judah and Joseph; and The Story of Moses. The journey to the promised land was an interesting one with so many twists and turns, but one of the descendants was set to defeat the snake.

You and your kids will learn about Saul and King David, not to mention the King of Kings, Jesus

The graphics in the book is amazing. The book was illustrated by Don Clark.

SMAL Tea Maker and Kettle Maker Review

Disclaimer: This post contains Amazon Affiliate Links.

I received SMAL WK-0816 Temp Programmable Combined Tea Maker and Electric Kettle with Tea Filter Lid, 1.7-Liter, in exchange for honest review. The tea maker comes with 4 temperature settings; an on switch to start the water boiling; and a warming button. First, you choose which lid you want. One lid is for boiling water only. One is for making tea. It comes with a steeper basket to put the tea in and then you can add it to the water.

Then, you choose your temperature. After you choose your temp. (70,89, 90, 100), you hit the on button to start the water boiling. Powering it on and then choosing temp does not work. Make sure to plug it in first.

I have tried loose and bagged tea. I loved the taste of the tea. I also tried protein powders and matcha tea. I had issues with some protein powders, but matcha has came out smooth and not chunky. I also tried hot chocolate (semi decent taste) and a opened k-cup powder (not the best taste). I love it more for the loose and bagged teas, especially green teas.

I also have used boiling water to help clean the bathroom, when the hot water heater was malfunctioning.

You can purchase the kettle on Amazon, using the link above.

Griddly Jr. Wise Alec Jr Games Review (Tomoson)

Disclaimer: This post contains Amazon Affiliate Links.

I received Wise Alec Jr , in exchange for honest review from Tomoson. I received the Human Body Trivia with a Lively Twist and the Memory, Matching, Charades, Counting,  and  Storytelling.  The Human Body is more so for intermediate to advanced learners, while the Memory is more so for beginning learners or even low functioning special needs kids, such as mine. Both kids have IEP/ARD Goals of puzzles, such as matching and memory games. The memory and matching games will help them achieve their educational goals, along with the counting.

With the Memory set, you have memory, matching, charades, counting, and storytelling games. The games are color-coded by card sets. For example, the red cards are memory cards; the green and yellow are matching cards; the charades are purple cards; and story telling is all cards. On the left side of each game box, it explains which games goes with which color set. The left side also explains the rules of the game.

You can purchase both games, using the link above. The link goes to the memory games, but Open Sky (which I love and have ordered things from before) has other Griddly Games games.

You also can purchase Wise Alec Junior Memory, Matching, Charades, Counting, and Storytelling and Wise Alec: Body Works Travel Game and Expansion Pack on Amazon, along with other Wise Alec, Wise Alec Jr, and other Griddly Games.

Block It RFID Blocking Sleeves

Disclaimer: This post contains Amazon Affiliate Links.

I received BlockIt RFID blocking sleeves in exchange for honest review. First, I loved the designs of the sleeves. I can store my credit cards in a beautiful sleeve, compared to other plain ones I noticed. I wanted these more so for my sister, who travels a lot out of the country for school volunteering trips. She brings cash and credit, but does not have a rfid blocking sleeve. Anything can happen such as when she asked for $100 extra from me to take on the trip. She needs a way to protect her cash and credit. I also need a way to protect my credit cards, since I rarely carry cash. The sleeves provide beauty plus function
