When Jesus was a Green-Eyed Brunette Book Review (FlyBy Blog Promotions)

Disclaimer: This post contains Amazon Affiliate Links.

I read When Jesus was a Green-Eyed Brunette, in exchange for honest review from Flyby Blog Promotions. The book was written by Max Davis. The book is a collection of short stories of Jesus showing up in ordinary situations. The first story, focused on the author meeting Jesus in the coffee aisle.  Davis made a wrong assumption about someone and still came to experience the love of God.

The stories were short and to the point. The stories all show how God works through oridinary situations. I tried to think of a few times God worked through ordinary situations in my life. How about how a few weeks ago when Brad refused to come in the house. I was silently praying for help because if he runs one way, he is in the street, and if he ran the other way, I was not feeling a chase. The upstairs neighbor, who has doggies, wanted to help. Brad is scared of dogs. The neighbor pretended to come downstairs with the dog to get Brad in the house.

Another time was when Brad refused to come in the apartment gates after church. This child kept trying to run off, down the street, when he could have easily got hit by a car, a bus, or a bike. The traffic on my street is bad. I witness almost-accidents on a regular basis. One of the few neighbors, I know by name, just happened to pull out the exit gate, on her way to church. Ms. Laverne was able to get Brad in the gates so we can finally go in the house.

God was in Kalen finally getting emergency seizure medications, even though his seizures are infrequent, but he still needs meds just in case. God was in getting a new aide for Brad quickly, who shows up on time (so far) and is very helpful (so far :-).). God is in everything and the book provides examples of when God shows up.

You can purchase the book, using the link above. The book comes in paperback and Kindle format. The book is prime-eligible.

Ancord Portable Bluetooth Speaker Review (Tomoson)

Disclaimer: This post contains Amazon Affiliate Links.

I received the Ancord Portable Bluetooth Speaker, in exchange for honest review from Tomoson. The speaker is a rechargeable speaker, with about 6 hours of charge. The speaker does still work while plugged in. The speaker has three sets of controls: the ones one the back controls power (to turn on and to charge) aux, a memory card slot, and a USB slot. The ones in the front is the mic, Bluetooth button, and power lights (to see how much power you have left). The ones on top of the speaker control volume and playback.

I had no issues with the playback controls. The volume adjusted, the tracks skipped, and the music paused. I did have issues connecting the speaker to Bluetooth on my Kindle. It took a few tries before A9 showed up.

The Ancord also has a carrying handle for easy transport.

I loved the size of the speaker. The Ancord's sound was louder than other speakers used in the past. I wanted this to be able to hear music from any room in the house.

You can purchase the speaker, using the link above. The speaker is prime-eligible.

#Barillio Shaker Set Review (Tomoson)

Disclaimer: This post contains Amazon Affiliate

I received the Barillio shaker set, in exchange for honest review from Tomoson. The set contained bottle pourers, a muddler, a dual digger, a spoon, and a 3 piece shaker set (shaker bottom, lid, and lid top). You also recieved a carrying bag and a book of recipes.

I nevrer used a shaker set before and was willing to learn. I needed a few tricks up my sleeve before Christmas break showed up. I youtubed a few videos on how to use a shaker, how to muddle, and a few recipes.

I made a version of a lemon drop, I saw on a food website. My recipe had vodka, lemon, lime, simple syrup, and mint. What I learned was not to make the simple syrup too thick or it's hard to remove from the shaker bottle. Soaking the shaker in hot water helped remove any residual syrup. I added the lemons, limes, and some of the mint to the top of the drink as a garnish. Tasted good for my fiirst use.

You can purchase the shaker set, using the link above. The set is prime-eligible.

Balance Bar (Tomoson)

Disclaimer: This post contains Amazon Affiliate Links.

I received the Orgalif Balance Bar, in exchange for honest review. I wanted the balance bar for my kids, when they bath, to aid them in and out the tub, but the bar did not stick to the tub in the bathroom nor any other surface such as the walls.  I did clean the walls first, as a precaution, but my surfaces and the bar was incompatible. It would have also helped Kalen when he uses the bathroom since he struggles getting up and down on the toilet, even using my squatty potty as a step stool.

The bar comes with two suction cups, along with a release lock to move the bar as needed.

You can purchase the bar using the link above.

Miu Color Diffuser Review

Disclaimer: I received this in exchange for honest review

I received the Miu Color Diffuser, in exchange for honest review. I love essential oils and diffusers, but what set this apart was the built in clock and bluetooth speaker. You also have modes for both white light and colored light, plus a timer for the mist mode. I use the white color for light duirng the day time, instead of turning on the main light and color mode at night. I am a big fan of purples and reds. The white light mode includes two colors, while the color mode includes : pink, red, purple, light green, dark green, and light blue.

I strugged with volume control with the speaker, so I continued to adjust the volume with either my phone or Kindle.

The diffuser comes with many parts. The base with water tank, clock, and speaker; the lid to the water tank, and the lid to the diffuser. The diffuser holds 300 ml of water. What thing, I did not like was there is an arrow to align the diffuser lid and base in place, but it does not lock, so you can still remove the lid with ease. One of my kids spilled the water out from the diffuser by removing the lid and tipping it over. I was so glad my pc, printer, and other electronics was not on top of the desk (They are now though).

I wanted the diffuser to be on the desk, since it displays the time. The same buttons, which adjusts the time, adjusts the volume. Make sure to check which mode you are in first before adjusting either.

To connect to bluetooth, you press the bluetooth button first and then connect to your device. I had issues with the Miu Color not appearing at first on my phone so I tested it with my Kindle first. The speaker works well with music and movies.

You can purchase the diffuser, using the link above. The diffuser is prime-eligible.

Bible Journaling Kit (FlyBy Blog Promotions)

Disclaimer: This post contains Amazon Affiliate Links.

I received the Bible Journaling Kit, in exchange for honest review from FlyBy Blog Promotions. The kit comes with a case (thought the case was a bible cover at first); stickers; tabs, pencils; an archival pen; and a clear sheet for making lines on blank sheets. I thought the kit would make a good start for someone to study the bible more or as a gift for someone else. Christmas is on the way. My mama would love this kit.

I love to journal. I have multiple notebooks, plus a notepad app on the Kindle to jot down thoughts. What stood out the most was the clear sheet for making lines on blank spaces. I have a few notepads, with blank pages, which the sheet would be perfect for.

You can purchase the kit, using the link above or any of the links to the other stores below. You also can enter to win one of five kits. Winners will be chosen December 15, 2016. The link has some adult coloring pages, you can download.
