Woo Bamboo Toothbrushes

Disclaimer: This post contains Amazon Affiliate Links.

I received Woo Bamboo Bamboo Toothbrushes in exchange for honest review from Tomoson. The kids' toothbrushes comes in a pack of two. Woo Bamboo also sells adult toothbrushes; pet toothbrushes; and biodegradable floss.

The toothbrushes are made from eco-friendly, biodegradable bamboo. The packaging is made from recycled and recyclable materials.

The handle was small enough for Kalen to pick up. I  have been trying to get him back on track with brushing his teeth, instead of me doing for him most of the time. Last week, when we went to the dentist, Kalen did not want to open up his mouth. He told the dentist no when she asked him to open his mouth. He liked brushing his teeth with the bamboo brushes, even though he kept wanting more and more toothpaste on the brush.

You can purchase the kids bamboo toothbrushes on Amazon in a pack of two or 60..

Adam Solomon's The Alphabet Book Review (Tomoson)

Disclaimer: This post contains Amazon Affiliate Links.

I read The Alphabet Book, in exchange for honest review. The book was written and photographed by 10 year old, Adam Solomon. The book is a collection of photos. Each photo represents a particular letter. The S, for example, is represented by a curved pipe, while T is represented by bricks in the sidewalk. Mr V is a broom while U is a curve in a tree.

The book was perfect for my kids because they have short attention spans. It also has no words. Kalen loves to point at pictures in books as well.

You can purchase the book on Amazon, using the link above. The book is available in hardback format only. The book is not prime-eligible.

#CelluliteMD Cellulite Cream Review (Tomoson)

Disclaimer: This post contains Amazon Affiliate Links.

I received Cellulite MD Cellulite Cream, in exchange for honest review.

I wanted the cream to help with cellulite on thighs, back, and arms. The cream absorbs quick and is not greasy. I have noticed some results in the thigh area, but my thighs still need work, along with my arms. The cream does not have a strong scent either.

According to the website, the cream helps tone and firm skin; reduces fluid retention; flushes trapped fluids and toxins; and reduces fat stores in the skin. The cream also helps improve elasticity of skin.

Ingredients

First, the cream contains Glaucine, an anti-inflammatory, which helps minimize swelling. Glaucine also helps minimize water retention. Next, the cream contains Bupleurum Falcatum, which reduces excess fat. Third, caffeine helps absorb excess water to tighten skin. Fourth, Centella Asiatica Extract helps reduce excess water. It also helps reduce swelling. Finally, the cream contains Bladderwrack Extract, which also helps reduce excess fluid and helps with swelling.

You can purchase the cream, using the link above. The cream is prime-eligible.

Finding God in the Ruins Review and Book Tour (Litfuse)

Disclaimer: This post contains Amazon Affiliate Links.

About the Book

If God is love, why do we hurt so much?

When the reality of your pain doesn't line up with what you've been taught in church, then what?

While many abandon their faith or embrace hopelessness, it is possible to discover the God who heals your heart in the midst of the pain.

Matt Bays has been where you are. His unforgettable stories of loss and healing will usher you into a life where gratitude overpowers anger, hope overcomes despair, and hunger for God replaces indifference to God. With a fresh and original writing style, Bays demonstrates that true redemption is far more powerful than the temporary fixes of sanitized Christianity.

About the Author

Matt Bays is a writer, speaker, and musician with a passion to call people out of their hiding places. In ministry for twenty years, he and his wife, Heather, live in Indianapolis with their fun-loving and insightful teenage daughters.

My Review

I read Finding God in the Ruins in exchange for honest review. The book was written by Matt Bays. The book is about finding God, even when your life is a mess. I know my life is a mess. I spend days trying to diffuse multiple meltdowns from one kid, while making sure the other kid doesn't have a seizure or a breath holding spell.

The first thing, which stood out, was when the author discussed redemption. The author said redemption has been misunderstood by Christianity. The book defined redemption (from a Christianity standpoint) as "A state of existence where The Faithful to God receive what they expect to receive out of life (and out of God), and what ails them is converted into something fresh and new (Getting the desires of one's heart)."

The author said approaching redemption from this standpoint sets us up for failure. It affects our relationship with God because we may want redemption to get what we want from God, instead of developing a stronger relationship with God. The author also discussed how some people think God owes them for good works/good behavior because we are chosen by God. When God doesn't do what we want, we get frustrated and disillusioned by God and Christianity. Things do not always go according to our plan.

My Review

I read Synced by Jennifer Kennedy Dean,  in exchange for honest review from Litfuse. The book teaches us how to sync into Jesus just like he was to his father. Jesus's focus was on fulfilling the father's will. He didn't do anything, which took away from his purpose. Jesuss "made a choice to surrender", even at the cross.

The book said man has natural desires in our heart, but we should still submit to the will of the father. One way Jesus stayed synced to the Father was in prayer. Jesus prayed alone and he prayed in public. He welcomed others to pray with him, even during his final moments. Jesus also taught others how to pray. Jesus lived a prayerful life. He didn't pray only during the bad times or when it was convenient. The author provides some good information about how to pray and how to live a praying life.

Next, Jesus was also obedient without any hesistation. There has been plenty of times, where I strugged to be obedient. The flesh won over the spirit many times and I regreted it.

The book was an excellent read.

Colorona Acrylic Paint Set Review (Tomoson)

Disclaimer: This post contains Amazon Affiliate Links.

I received the Colorona Acrylic Paint Set in exchange for honest review from Tomoson. The set came with 12 acrylic paints, 3 paint brushes, and a palette. I wanted the paint set to release stress plus help the kid with their school assignments. (Kalen has a black and white outline of an Easter egg to color over Spring Break).

The paints was easy to open with the star top of each tube, but be careful when opening. When I first opened one, the paint went everywhere (from clothes to the floor). The paint works well as a finger paint and on sketch paper.

You can purchase the set using the link above. The set is prime-eligible.

ClickL Sheet Mattress Holder Review (Tomoson)

Disclaimer: This post contains Amazon Affiliate Links.

I received the ClickL Sheet Mattress Holder, in exchange for honest review. The system comes with 4, l shaped pieces and 4 buttons, which clicks the L shape in place. I placed the L shaped part under the mattress.

I wanted this to help keep my sheets in place. Using my thin mattress pad, I was able to click the device through the pad and fitted sheet with no issues. When I tried to click with the pad, fitted, and top, I struggled with the device clicking. Using my thick mattress pad, I had to remove the clickls from my bed since it was too thick for the button to fit through all three layers. The button also fell off a lot. It was easy to put back on after I found one or two under the bed (my frame is not solid all the way across).

You can purchase the system using the link above. The system is prime-eligible.

I received the Ohuhu LED Night Light, in exchange for honest review from Tomoson. The lamp comes with the lamp; the removable cover; and the power supply. The lamp does adjust at a few angles for your viewing pleasure.

You can choose one color or let the lamp rotate through a few colors.

The lamp has a built in speaker. You can connect an audio cord to your device and listen to music. I had success connecting the lamp to my phone. I had limited success connecting to my computer. I had to disconnect my Echo because that is the main speaker for the computer (computer volume comes in too low) and hook up the lamp, but didn't get any music .

You can purchase the lamp, using the link above. The lamp is prime-eligible.

Pinjian Ultimate Resistance Bands Review (Tomoson

Disclaimer: This post contains Amazon Affiliate Links.

I received Pinjian Ultimate Resistance Bands, in exchange for honest review. The set comes in 10 pieces, 12 pieces, 16 pieces, and 20 pieces. I got the 12 piece set. The 12 piece set comes with the following:

  1. Storage bag
  2. Chest expander
  3. Door anchor
  4. Foot cradles (2)
  5. Foam grips (2)
  6. 30 lb resistance band
  7. 25 lb resistance band
  8. 15 lb resistance band
  9. 10 lb resistance band
  10. 20 lb resistance band.
I liked the chest expander because I never used one before. The set was easy to use in workouts. I also wanted to incorporate the door anchor. I had one before, but it arrived after I took down my bedroom door (well what was left of it after my son destroyed it). Then, I remembered, I have two closet doors. One door has a door gym and the other door is free for the Pinjian system. The system does not interfere with my child locks.

You can purchase the set using the link above. The set is prime-eligible .

I received the Valentia Ultra Plumping Hydration Mask, in exchange for honest review from Tomoson. The Mask was easy to use. I applied it before a shower and washed it off with warm water afterwards. His Final Deal Book Blast (Write Now Literary Virtual Book Tours)

Disclaimer: This post contains Amazon Affiliate Links.

Synopsis:

Raymond Brown, popularly known as Smooth Suave, is one of Jamaica’s biggest drugs lords. With eight children by six baby mommas and counting, he’s a player for life. A true baller, he lavishes in his wealth.

He’s a shot caller with “soldiers” wheeling and dealing all over Jamaica. It’s Suave’s world, and everyone else just lives in it . . . or so he thinks.

However, his nemesis, King Kong, sees it differently. Rivals since childhood, King Kong is hell-bent on destroying Suave at any cost. As the war over power, drugs, and money intensifies—from Wilton
Gardens (Rema) to Arnett Gardens (Jungle)—bodies are dropping like flies, washing the island of paradise in blood.

But it is the murder and kidnapping of two of Suave’s loved ones that bring him to his knees. Being
framed for murder, hunted by the cops, pursued by his enemies, betrayed by friends, tormented by a
horrid secret, and fighting to protect his family and empire, Suave is nearing his breaking point. Yet, he isn’t going down without a fight.

VoilĂ ! Suave makes a deal to eradicate his enemies—but if it backfires, it could very well cause him his own life. Then God counteroffers Suave’s deal with His own—one that will undoubtedly give Suave the victory he needs but requires him to give up his drug empire and turn his life over to the Lord. With his motto being, “I don’t do God,” will Suave accept God’s deal or take the risk of his own deal?

About the Author

Theresa A. Campbell is the author of the soul-fulfilling, entertaining novels, His Final Deal, Are You
There, God? and God Has Spoken. She hails from Jamaica, West Indies and has earned business degrees from Baruch College and Fairleigh Dickinson University.

Growing up in rural Jamaica without electricity until she was about 11years old made Theresa read a lot. The lack of modern amenities did not detract from her creativity; in a sense, it improved her ability to see the ending of a story from a different perspective.

Theresa's sense of purpose is entrenched in the belief that God is always there for us, and she knows in her heart that she has to share this with her readers. It's Theresa's objective to keep it real at all times in her books so everyone can relate to her characters.

Excerpt

“Today, I want to talk to you about redemption,” Bishop Hudson began. “Ephesians 1:7 says, ‘In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace.’ Amen. Redemption is possible through the blood of Jesus! Hello, somebody? I said, you can be delivered from the bondage of sin and find peace with God. Am I speaking to somebody?”

“Amen, Pastor,” a member shouted from the front.

“You better speak to me, Bishop,” a young lady in the choir yelled.

Bishop Hudson paused, took off his jacket, and handed it to his assistant. He grabbed the microphone out of the stand and paced the pulpit. “We all are in need of redemption. You know why? Because we all have sinned and have fallen short of the glory of God.”

Hmmm, interesting, Suave thought. Even Christians need redemption, too.

As if he read Suave’s mind, Bishop Hudson remarked, “So you can act like you were born holy, pure, and righteous all you want, but that’s not the case. We were able to become a child of God because Jesus paid the price for our sins on the cross. His death was in exchange of our life.”

“Praise the Lord,” “Thank you, Jesus,” and “Hallelujah” rang throughout the church.“Do you want to be free from the burden of guilt?” Bishop Hudson asked, looking out at the congregation.

Suave shifted in his seat, wondering why the bishop was looking at him.

“Do you want to be free from curses and bondage?” Bishop Hudson stepped down from the pulpit into the aisle. “God already purchased our freedom,” he said, his eyes wandering from one face to the other as he moved closer to the back.

He better stop picking on me, or else I’m stepping. With his arms folded and face screwed up like a dried apple, Suave defiantly stared at the bishop as he seemed to get closer. I’m no punk.

“I said, you can go from being a sinner to a saint if you accept God’s gift of eternal life.”

Bishop Hudson was now at Suave’s bench where he paused. Suave glanced at the bishop through the corner of his eyes, his head held straight. He didn’t acknowledge the bishop, and for his own sake, Suave was hoping the bishop wouldn’t acknowledge him.
“I’m glad to see you this morning, my brother.” Bishop Hudson looked down at Suave, who still wasn’t looking at him.All eyes in the church turned toward the back where Suave sat. Alwayne and Annette held hands and nervously looked on. Bishop Hudson was known to prophesize to his members, revealing things that no one else knew but God. He would also predict certain happenings that always came true. This usually made some members excited about receiving a blessing, and others nervous when they hadn’t been walking on the “right” side.

“God is going to give you a second chance.” Bishop Hudson rested his hand on Suave’s shoulder. “Those demons that are haunting you are leading you down a narrow road.”Suave’s heart began to gallop in his chest. He wanted to brush off the preacher’s hand, but he felt compelled to hear what the man had to say.

“Your mind gets so mixed up at times that you find it hard to differentiate between the real thing and your imagination. But God says to tell you that He is going to give you the victory. Some people were now standing on their feet clapping, some praying, and others speaking in tongues.

“Deliver him, Lord,” an elderly man shouted.“Set your son free, Father Jesus,” screamed another member.“God is going to right the wrong that was done to you, so you can be free to serve Him
and His people.”

Tears filled Bishop Hudson’s eyes as he leaned over to Suave, his face only inches away from Suave’s.On a will of its own, Suave’s neck turned, and he locked eyes with the bishop. Suave’s
tears betrayed him and seeped down his face.

You can purchase the book on Amazon, in Kindle and Paperback format. The book is prime-eligible.
