All the places to go, How will you know review (Tyndale Blog Network)

Disclaimer: This post contains Amazon Affiliate Links and Images.

I read All the Places to Go . . . How Will You Know?: God Has Placed before You an Open Door. What Will You Do?, in exchange for honest review from Tyndale Blog Network. The book was written by John Ortberg and published by Tyndale House. I received a paperback book. The book's genre is Christian non-fiction.

God never wanted people to be stagnant and be content where they are.  God wanted people to go and grow. He opens doors and windows and wants us to open them. Move forward. Progress. The book starts out with a question: If you had to summarize your life in six words ,what would they be?  On page 3, Ortberg presents six word stories about famous people in the bible. For example, Abraham: Left Ur. Had baby. Still Laughing.

Our lives never go as we plan. I never wanted any kids, but I got two. I never thought I would finish two degrees. I never thought I be living in Texas again. I never thought about blogging until I was at home alone with a newborn baby. Our lives can change at any time, at any age. The book says we do need the ability to recognize when a door is open or we can miss out on God's opportunities. Open doors also require an act of faith and obedience. You do have to move instead of being content, where you are.

I wonder how many doors, I have missed. How many doors have you missed.

You can purchase the book on Amazon in Kindle and Paperback Format.

Day by Day Beauty Oil Free Blotting Papers Review (Tomoson)

This post contains Amazon Affiliate Links and Images.

I received Blotting Paper Face Blotting Sheets (2 Handy Sets) , in exchange for honest review from Tomoson. You receive two packs of 100 sheets. One for you and one for a friend, if you want to share.

I like to use the blotting papers after a workout or if I am using an oil-based serum and I use too much. I also shared a pack with my niece, who has super oily skin. She loved the sheets and carries them in her purse now.

For those, who have not used blotting papers, you simply blot the paper on your face and the oil absorbs through the paper. The papers are made from Luxury fibers, which absorbs oil, as well as dirt.

You can purchase Day by Day Beauty's Luxury Blogging paper on Amazon, The packs are prime-eligible.

I received 500 BPA Free Disposable Poly PE Gloves Large, Food Grade, in exchange for honest review from Tomoson.I wanted to review the gloves for those times, where the food gets messy, such as making hamburgers or mixing a batter. Maybe flouring biscuits before they go in the toaster oven.

When I had a semi messy batter or food, the gloves were good, but when I was making hamburgers or popcorn balls, the gloves were not staying in place and/or was sliding off and I had to keep replacing them. My mother also used the gloves to help dye her hair. I also have used the gloves for arts and crafts projects, such as something with glitter or paint.

The gloves come in a set of 500. I suggest putting the box up high. I had 500 gloves all over my closet since my toddler reached the top of one of my bins.

You can purchase the gloves on Amazon, using the link above. The gloves are prime-eligible.

Ustyme Review (Tomoson)

I reviewed Ustymeu in exchange for honest review from Tomoson. Ustyme is available for iPad, and PC, laptop via Google Chrome. It also works on Firefox and Opera. It doesn't work on Chrome on my phone or tablet.

Ustyme allows families to connect via video. You can read a book or play a game via video chat. You also can still read the books and games without video. The website/app is free but ut does have premium featues for cost, such as additional books and games.

To use video, you need to send out a friend request and wait for them to accept the request. My brats love the books and I love the games. I have not tried the video feature yet. Just waiting on people to accept requests.

You can try out the app using the link above.

Yumms Burger Press Review (Tomoson)

I received Burger Press Hamburger Patty Maker 3 Piece Non-Stick With Lifter by Yumms! in exchange for honest review from Tomoson. The press allows you to form even-sized burgers before grilling or cooking them.

I had mixed results. I made burgers with tomato sauce , minced, garlic, and onions. Since I didn' t make a traditional burger, the first few fell apart. I experimented and found thick burgers are easy to remove without losing too much roundness/shape.

You can purchase Yumms Burger Press on Amazon using the link above. You can experiment with different meats, veggies, and thicknesses.

Becoming a spiritually healthy family review (Litfuse)

This post contains Amazon Affiliate Links.

I have received Becoming a Spiritually Healthy Family: Avoiding the 6 Dysfunctional Parenting Styles in exchange for honest review from LitFuse.

I wanted to review the book to see what I can learn to apply to my family.

The first part focused on how God is the director of our lives. Whether or not we follow his plan, he is still in control. Chapter two focuses on the six dysfunctional parenting styles.I can be the double minded and i cant say no parent. The book thwn moves into full length discussion on each of the parenting styles.

For example, the double minded parent wants to follow God but struggles with worldy desires. Their lives are filled with anxiety and guilt. Staying in the middle of the road is not completely trusting and following God.

The book also has questions for reflection at the end of each chapter.

You can purchase the book on Amazon in Kindle and paperback format.

I used the product on my arms, legs, belly, and lower back. I have a long way to go since I  plenty of stretch marks. I have noticed some minimal reduction though. Still smells wonderful.

Twitter for Writers review (Tomoson)

This post contains Amazon Affiliate links and images.

I read Twitter for Writers (Writer's Craft) in exchange for honest review from Tomoson. The book was written by Rayne Hall.

I never thought about using Twitter for my books but I have used it for blogging and for mycapstone project.

Hall first discusses setting up your profile and how to tweet. Then tweet about your writing, your books, subject matter inside books. Don't do twitter drama though. You never know who is watching. Don't post personal info like phone numbet and address. Don't post too many pro.o tweets.

Retweet things you like. Yet be careful on the controversial stuff, which can affect your brand.

I also reccommend lists. I love lists. I have a list for Houston events, which came in handy when I was covering events. I have a list for Houston news so I can know what's going on. I have a list for celibacy to keep me motivated.

Follow authors and readers too. Use hashtags. I was told 1-3 per tweet is good during my masters.

Finally avoid promos via dm or direct message. And don't do those annoying automated dms. I used to and quickly turned it off.

Why does my book not sell review(Tomoson)

This post contains Amazon Affiliate Links and Images.

I read Why Does My Book Not Sell? 20 Simple Fixes (Writer's Craft) in exchange for honest review from Tomoson. The book was written by Rayne Hall.

I am a writer. I wrote 10 small books. Self published. I suck at marketing. I did my own covers except one. My books are not money makers, not best sellers. I have no idea how to increase sales effectively. I just love to write. Sales are not that important, but it would be nice to get a bigger check sometimes.

My last royalty check was .10.

In Hall's book, she provides 20 tips for increasing sales, such as having the right cover/design. People judge a book by its cover. Having a crowded cover with too many elements is also bad.

The cover also has to reflect the genre. You also have to consider use of stock photos. Other people may have the same one.

Other things to consider (and things I can improve) are the blurb and knowing your reader. You also have to consider social media. Overpromotion annoys folks. Also talk to your fans and other authors. Finally, you want book reviews-even the negative ones. I have to ignore some or I will be in a bad place. You also should watch how you respond to reviews. Hall suggests not commenting on any reviews. And dont buy or write fake reviews either. You don't want all your reviews taken down if you are caught.

You can purchase the book on Amazon in Kindle format.

Five love languages for men review (Flyby Blog Promotions)

This post contains Amazon affiliate links.

I received Five Love Languages for Men by Gary Chapman, in exchange for honest review from FlyBy Blog Promotions.

I love the five love language series. For me, I need acts of service as my love language. I am also taking the five love languages course on Youversion.

I learned my love language using the website, but the book also includes a test in the back of the book--one for men and one for women. I scored a12 on acts of service; 2 on words of affirmation; 7 on quality time; 3 on gift giving; and 5 on physical touch.

The book focuses on mastering the wife's love language.  Acts of Service starts on page 69. For example, my future husband, whoever he is, needs to focus on impact, initiative, and attitude ( p. 71)

Impact focuses on the effectiveness of the act. is he effective where it counts? Otherwise the rest does not matter. Initiative is taking care of needs before spouse asks you too. Finally, the right attitude is key. If wife or I sense resentment or irritation, she will feel not happy and may start resenting you. The spouse should be willing and eager. Don't brag and don't make a big deal of it. I am this way with family and friends too.

You can purchase the book in Kindle, Amazon, Audible, and CD format, using the image above.

The tats was easy to use. You cut out the design you want. Remove clear backing and place face down on your body. Finally, you apply water using a towel or sponge and remove after 20 seconds.
