What's in the Bible DVD Review and Giveaway (Fly By Blog Promotions)

I received a copy of What's in the Bible, in exchange for honest review from Fly By Blog Promotions. I received Volume 10: Jesus is Good News. Volume 10 focused on the four gospels: Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John.

The series was created by Phil Vischer, one of the creators of Veggie Tales. I knew some of the puppet voices sounded familiar. :-). Instead of focusing on Bob and Larry, followed by a 3D story, What's in the Bible was hosted by Vischer and supported by the puppets. The puppets sang songs and asked questions. As Vischer is telling the bible stories, a cartoon is visualizing the story.

First, Vischer and his puppet cast focused on the differences between the Old and New Testament. Vischer discussed how the NT fulfilled the promises of the OT. He discussed the fulfillment of time, the 400 year gap between the OT and the NT.

The DVD also discussed the similarities between Matthew, Mark, and Luke. How these three gospels focused on the birth of Christ, while John focused on Jesus's ministry.

Now, since this is volume 10, Vischer and the puppets referenced earlier DVDs. I recommend starting a volume 1 because I want to see the OT too.

You can buy the dvds individually, in sets, or the entire collection on the What's in the Bible website.
